Samsonite Omni 2 is a durable polycarbonate hardside set that works well for frequent travel and stores neatly because the pieces nest inside each other. The bags handle airport and rental car abuse well, and the simple shell design holds up on long trips. The tradeoff is a fairly spartan interior with few pockets or dividers, and the large 28 inch case measures 63.5 to 64 inches total, which can run over common airline size limits and trigger oversize fees. A solid fit if durability matters more than extra organization or strict size compliance.
The luggage uses polycarbonate, which supports a hard-shell build for travel use.
The set can be stored by fitting pieces inside each other for easier packing.
The luggage has held up after airport and rental-car travel while still looking and working like new.
The Omni 2 set has performed well on international trips to Costa Rica and Peru.
Airline oversize rules can create extra costs because the large piece totals 64 inches and the 28-inch measures 63.5 inches.
The blue color can be hard to distinguish on baggage carousels, which increases the chance of grabbing the wrong bag.
The interior storage can feel limited because the pieces are described as basically shells.
Buying from Amazon Warehouse in "Acceptable" condition may still arrive looking and working like new, but the condition label signals potential variability.

- Very durable. Have banged these around airports and rental cars internationally, they still look and work as new.
- Not a lot of niceties. These are basic bags for travelers, and don't have a million pockets or dividers or the like. That's what I want out of suitcases, but compared to some other luxury brands, they are a little spartan.
- The blue color is extremely common. I bought blue because I like it and I figured it would stand out in a crowd of black. But on my last flight, there were 4 of the large blue Omni 2 on the baggage carousel at the airport. I resolved this by putting a permanent neon orange luggage tag on mine, but be especially careful to check the tags before you leave the airport.
- I bought mine from Amazon Warehouse in "Acceptable" condition because they were a good deal at the time. YMMV of course, but mine arrived looking and working like new, and I saved something like $40 on the pair.
All in all this seems like a good deal, but I hope this helps you know what you're getting into! Happy traveling!
