But you can buy two of the 1 pack that was posted along with this and still be below the cost of this. What am I missing? *edit: this is a hybrid inverter and the other is an off grid. I guess that's why.

As someone who already has home solar, how easy is this to actually setup as a home battery

If you are referencing this deal, That is a totally different inverter. 5kw vs 10kw, plus the 5kw is NOT srne manufactured if i'm not mistaken. This inverter is far superior.

How are these different from the Ecoflow or other battery systems. These should also be eligible for the 30% clean energy credits?

On a spectrum from plug and play (ecoflow) to build it from scratch, this is in the middle. It's also meant for a more permanent solution, although you could use it in a large RV or put it on a hand truck. You're not going to toss this in the back of your SUV for a weekend camping trip, like you can with an ecoflow or anything with ergonomic handles. These systems are cheaper to expand, but you have to know more and be willing to get into it (diy solar forums, lots of will prowse videos to get started, etc).

And yes if the newly installed system for this year is >3kwh and installed before the end of this year, it will qualify for the 2025 30% off federal tax credit. There may also be local benefits or credits, such as no sales tax or even more. Some states have rules that their local benefits only apply when using their "authorized installers" which sounds like corruption.

Grok/ChatGPT is your best bridge to ELI5 your specific questions. You can also provide them links to the items and it can explain what you would need, and if it fits your desired outcome. After that, this guy has some playlists for beginners, and a forum, if you're willing to learn. https://www.youtube.com/@WillProwse

Thank you, I had a feeling this was the case. I believe these inverters not UL certified, any suggestions on which ones are?
