None of the handheld consumer irons from Rowenta are made in Germany anymore. The top model Rowenta (almost $200) is made in France, all the rest are made in China.

I see two on Costco Online. Both say "Made in France".

Please provide link to one that is made in Germany. I don't think they exist anymore. Hope I'm wrong and someone can provide a link. Thanks.

No, not bad. They are defiantly much better than something like a Black+Decker, Oster, or similar cheap iron.

But they aren't as good as ones that used to be made in Germany.

The issue I've seen with the made in China version, is that even though the soleplate is "stainless steel", they start to get surface rust on the soleplate after about a year. The German ones never did that. So I think it is lower quality stainless steel. But the rest of the iron is very good.

I received mine (Like new) today, the box is beaten up even the iron itself is dusty. When I took it out something is rattling inside, definitely not "Like New" . Have to test it yet, for $23 I am thinking whether to keep it or send it back!
