People are really into this paint thing. I don't think any American painted bowls with the desired American approved paint will be a slickdeal anytime soon. As of now 658 people that like lead paint or whatever its assumed to be gives it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Did some pottery a while back and it really opened my eyes to this topic. There are so many toxic glazes used in manufacturing (especially highly decorative dinnerware that is cheaply made and many handmade stineware products, that haven't been properly fired at a right temperature)
It is very important to consume food from food safe plates. Many glazes have toxic chemicals in them, like lead that leaches from food plates (dishware) accumulates in the body over time and damages multiple organ systems, particularly the brain and nervous system, kidneys, and cardiovascular system. (lead, cadmium) are the most common offenders.

I am always wary of Chinese made kitchen items, especially if they are heated.

There are always good alternatives from other countries who have high standards.

Portugal for example makes some fine ceramics for daily use and you can be sure they are food safe to use.
