I was able to get the 10 Pro for $389 by selecting the 20GB plan and using code YEAROFMINT. I'm not sure how the math worked out that way, but I'll take it!

If anything, they've verified that it is **not** legit since the coupon code is still active for the intended use, but no longer works with this deal.

Whether or not Mint was going to do anything about it to existing orders was the question. The customer service reps wouldn't be the ones that do anything about it. They just do what the system tells them, and because the system was glitched, it allowed for the coupon to stack with the deal. Likely, the reps escalated / flagged this issue, causing someone higher up to notice and the glitch was fixed.

If people didn't email or call Mint about the coupon code, it would probably still be active right now.

Currently, it sounds like earlier orders are being shipped, and newer orders with the coupon were paused for review and cancelled.

The best part is for many, a 54 dollar discount wasn't worth losing out on unlimited.

Does the phone have to stay active or could I buy it, activate it, swap to a new phone, and then just hold onto this until I can use it on my Visible number?

Want to get a line for the kid, but I want this phone, so trying to figure out how to make best of both worlds

I called them again.. they said I just missed the cutoff time by 10 minutes.. but that I'd receive the shipping notification by the end of today.. used the coupon (first order without coupon got cancelled)

Sure some people do use more that 20 GB/month, but IMHO naw, the average cell customer uses less than 20 GB/month, and even if you go slightly over, not really a big deal! It will still have internet on mobile for a few days, just slow, hardly the end of the world.
There's a reason Mint does well selling 5GB, 15GB, etc. plans.

For those missed out on coupon, maybe this will help. I found Mint data goes by very quick, I would view couple news web sites, probably less than a dozen pages during lunch, and 1 GB data would be gone. The 5GB plan is almost unusable.

I was on Verizon 10GB plan and streaming youtube, never had data usage issue.

In other words, the $54 saving you got with 20GB plan may not be worth it.

I've had Mint and this is not true at all. 1GB is 1GB. My usage remained the same across Mint Mobile, InfiMobile and GoogleFi. Could you image the lawsuits Mint would be facing?
