Nice find, and it's good it doesn't have ice maker (those fail frequently). However it's below average on size so don't get it for big family

If it was the same price, having an ice maker wouldn't hurt. They're usually easy to replace when they eventually fail. Ours lasted forever albeit a different brand.

I agree, I replaced the ice maker on our Frigidaire. Never did it before so I had to figure it out as I went but totally doable. I do maintain our cars though so I'm at least a little bit handy.

I believe those are manufactured by Midea.
Home Depot sells it under the Dasani brand and looks identical inside and out.
I owned that one for about a year and it works perfectly well.

Bought mine a little over 2 years ago in August 2023. No issues. Except the occasional, and very strange, cat-like moaning noises (LOL). I'm thinking the foam that lines up the walls of the fridge as they expand and/or adjust from time to time. I would definitely buy again regardless

Same with mine, works great except for the occasional weird noise. It did take Best Buy three times to get it right though. The first two had a crack inside the fridge lining- most likely from being bumped pretty violently during the shipment to the warehouse. Make sure you inspect the inside and out before you let the delivery guys bring it in and waste time/effort.
Ikea also has the same fridge under their brand VÄLGRUNDAD and they sell these for $1k+

The problem is that they aren't easy to replace anymore. A lot of fridges now have them losing insulation, and then it being a giant pain in the butt to work with.Samsung got hit with a big lawsuit about this lately too.

Why do they add and charge you for the water kit, that you can't use with this, and don't have the option to remove it?

I bought an insignia fridge about four years ago. It's worked great, but the biggest problem is parts. One of the door shelves broke, and we quickly found out that there was simply no way to replace it. Tried reaching out to Midea as well. These models seem to come and go with little support in the long run, unfortunately. Based on price, I'd wager this is on its way out.

Yes, I am in the same spot. Other than it running all the time in the summer, what happens if you do throw it in the garage?

Bought one a year or so ago. We had a very particular (small) space and were very limited in options. Very happy with the purchase - agree with rue occasionally cat-like moaning noise.

I did buy the compatible ice maker and installed it myself (note, the Best Buy website had the wrong ice maker linked as compatible - I had to search to find the correct one).

Also remember, there's no deli drawers, just the two for veggies and fruit. We use a couple clear plastic bins instead.

We'd buy again.
