Is port in required?

So they use T-Mobile network? That seems to be the only good option for my home area.

Even though TMobile owns Mint.. they treat both companies completely separately... SO YES... you need to port your number to mint from Tmobile. And I don't think you will notice a difference i service.

People don't seem to care... there is a large cost for many people to feel comfortable in the mind. That is the issue I believe.

But for me... it is not so much trying to convince a friend it is like finding a person who is with Verizon or TMobile who is not paying for their phone on a monthly basis.

But right now, I think I am stuck on Visible because I want my $15.00 off my FIos internet bill each month.

But, I may switch back to Mint... for a deal that is good enough. But it is practically a wash for me. So, lets say I pay $30/month with Visible and get $15 off my fios bill... net cost about $15/month... and if I jump ship to Mint, I may get service for $15 a month for a year but I loose $15 a month for my Fios bill.

And I really like having unlimited hotspot... I have actually used this. But Mint just upped their 10GB to 20GB of hotspot a month.
AT lease you think it through unlike the people who only go with a salesman pitch. Mint has $30internet to think about now also. My last experience I think it was CLEAR for wifi was horrible!!! I am apprehensive to do cellular type for home again. Promised speeds a complete lie due to overrsold congestion and wanting to fall back on contract fine print. I think I ended up still screwed turning in my equipment ending contract.

I purchased this $180 plan last year, so there is no way I could take this one again with the same phone number?
I was about to extend an additional year at $180 ($207 after tax and fees) for my wife and I when I called CS to get my account number and transfer PIN. We have been very happy with Mint this year so we're very happy to get it at 50% for another year. I was on the phone for about 30 minutes they credited my account $180 and processed payment ($207) from my CC.

It works in a home internet router but it seems to count as hotspot data. I purchased it for a deal on a Pixel 9 so I was trying the SIM in different devices. I'll find a use for it hopefully, 😂

Go to a store and pay the most. All discount sellers connect you to call centers. No coddling. I've used them for years and didn't have problems with the service or call centers.
You aren't a new customer, so you can't get this deal. Call customer-retention and they'll tell you to fark off.
If you can save $400 on a new phone by switching to another provider why wouldn't you.

Currently with Mint, but switched to US Mobile as Mint drug their feet on offering a promo and their service has been pretty bad.

i am currently in Mint, how to switch out and back in? I logged in my computer to switch to visible since Mint was ending and saw this advertisement.
I want to know as well. Everytime my renewal comes up there is no better deals elsewhere so I renew a whole year. Do you know if I get refunded if I canceled mid plan year?

Equivalent to Visible+ is Total 5G+, which you can get for $30/month on BYOD.

T-Mobile performs poorly on QCI7 (Mint and every other T-Mobile MVNO) when it's overcrowded, especially in places like Costco or a stadium. However, T-Mobile has the best raw download speeds when it's not congested. One reason for such performance is that almost all name-brand T-Mobile's own plans run on QCI6, as does Google Fi. So, every T-Mobile MVNO will have a bad time (except Google Fi) when congested.

Only a select few Verizon postpaid plans run on QCI7. All other MVNOs (Visible+, Visible+ Pro, Total 5G, 5G+, Spectrum) and Verizon Wireless run on QCI8. Then, at QCI9, all other deprioritized plans, like Visible Base, Total Base, and select US Mobile Warp, are found.
Man, this comment just sent me down the rabbit hole

I'm considering porting my number into numbers barn once the plan is about up, then porting it back out to mint after buying the new plan. Might have to use a new account, (probably will), but it seems like the cheapest way to take advantage of the deal without changing numbers

Mint doesn't have hotspot I recall which visible has. Visible also had $225 for 1 year for their visible + pro top plan.

visible unlimited plan is $19 a month. This is $180 + $30 fees and taxes, comes to $210 which is almost $18 a month. so just $1 difference, paying month on month with flexibility of switching to other carriers any time, visible seems like a great deal. am I missing something?
Visible also has unlimited hotspot. Far better.
