Equivalent to Visible+ is Total 5G+, which you can get for $30/month on BYOD.

T-Mobile performs poorly on QCI7 (Mint and every other T-Mobile MVNO) when it's overcrowded, especially in places like Costco or a stadium. However, T-Mobile has the best raw download speeds when it's not congested. One reason for such performance is that almost all name-brand T-Mobile's own plans run on QCI6, as does Google Fi. So, every T-Mobile MVNO will have a bad time (except Google Fi) when congested.

Only a select few Verizon postpaid plans run on QCI7. All other MVNOs (Visible+, Visible+ Pro, Total 5G, 5G+, Spectrum) and Verizon Wireless run on QCI8. Then, at QCI9, all other deprioritized plans, like Visible Base, Total Base, and select US Mobile Warp, are found.

Just port your number to google voice so you keep your current number. Then sign up as a new customer and just forward from that new number to your number in gv and your good. Your able to skip around and get the best deals all the time. Just have to change your esim/sim and forward your new number each time.

Transfer your number somewhere cheap (like Helium Mobile, $5/mo). Cancel your Mint plan. Their system will delete your account almost immediately. For good measure, open a new account with a different email address. Transfer your number back in.

I'm considering porting my number into numbers barn once the plan is about up, then porting it back out to mint after buying the new plan. Might have to use a new account, (probably will), but it seems like the cheapest way to take advantage of the deal without changing numbers
but I still have 6 more months on the current plan, will have to wait

I have had Mint in the last year and just moved my entire family to Visible+ (and extended my phone that was on it earlier) on the Black Friday deals. I can tell you that I literally couldn't function multiple times while traveling for work on Mint (come on guys...a hotel in Rosemont by O'Hare?). The congestion and slow down was absolutely unbearable at far too many places. For the $$$ I could save on Mint, and yes it's cheaper, it was not at all worth the headache to me. Mint does not allow full access to T-Mobile's post paid towers either, which my wife had stretches of easily covered area on all 3 major providers network that literally were dead spots.
The long and short of it for me, Visible+ (highest plan) gives me post paid performance for MVNO pricing. Mint (or others) is what you'd do if you have exceptionally light data needs and you know you'll have coverage where you need it.
Lastly, I just went to Mexico for the first time, and Visible+ worked great (except having to change my iPhone to work only on LTE and not 5g), but this did not present any issues for me.

I get 100Mbps through Mint consistently. it's more than enough for me. not willing to buy a new phone just so i can be on the Verizon network. but yeah, I use light data for reading up on the news and such and i dont travel to other states let alone to other countries. I'd rather stream tv shows and movies on my tiny 98 inch tv and not my giant 6 inch phone that will wipe out the monthly data cap in minutes.

I've had mint unlimited , xfinity unlimited and they both frustrated the heck out of me. Now on visible + pro , been a month and It's working out for me. Better speed than mint and xfinity no matter where I go , I'm in California

This seems to be great. I need to find a good option to the 12 month Visible+ unlimited plan that I am on now, and is ending in a month. Anyone know how this Mint Mobile plan compares with the Visible+ plan in terms of data priority, video quality, and hotspot speeds? I get good T-mo and Verizon signals.

Will this last for a while so that I can wait for anything from Visible for Black Friday?
i have used tMo, mint, us mobile, visible base and plus for over 3 months.

Mint is 90% of Tmobile quality. 10% of time is deadzone and slower data. You can use 500GB a month without issue. $180/yr for 20GB hotspot

Visible base is garbage. Visible plus works ,but your getting 1/5th the speed of Tmo. Using over 500GB a month isn't an issue. annual plans as low as $220/yr for unlimited hotspot

US Mobile (Darkstar) works great in ATT area. Able to add VZ and Tmo towers to the best coverage for extra fee. using over 500GB a month will get you booted. annual plans as low as $120/yr for 20-70GB hotspot. The best flex plans

Heads up the plan info is wrong on this post, unlimited is now 20Gb of hotspot and now 50GB of data before slowdown.

So... the big differences between the two are...

1. VERIZON vs Tmobile. If you get good signal for both then Mint or Visiable will be good.
2. Verizon seems to have Ultra Wide Bands that are good for working down town.... but I don't think you have any Tmobile issues... if you live in Manhattan for example I think you would want Visible.
3. Hotspot... Mint just raised it to 20GB (from 10GB) of month a few weeks ago... it is not throttled. Fios highest end limits the speed of your hotspot to 15mb/s and their mid plan is limited to 10mmb/s but the amount of hotspot is unlimited.
4. Visible gives you $15 per month off your Verizon Fios Bill.
5. Mint has better customer service, with Visible you only have chat. This really does not matter unless you have issues... which I did when I first joined. And customer service was clueless and I litterly solved the issue myself... ChatGPT is your friend.

I don't think you can go wrong with each.

Not sure if we are allowed to reveal the name due to the SD rules. But it's one from the financial institutions and ends with shopping.
