Not dissing this deal. I've used, Rain-X, other similar silicone ones, regular non abrasive Turtle Wax and Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating all with similar results. They all wear off over time but the Ceramic Spray seemed to last a bit longer to me.

Once they invent that, maybe they'll invent a sealent to prevent bullets.

I've used both as well, when using turtle ceramic spray always do my windows as well. In my experience both work about the same, the only thing I noticed with rainx is that its easier to apply. With the ceramic you really got to buff and have good light to make sure you got it all otherwise when sun hits you'll see all the haze.

Regardless of the comparitive effectiveness is $9.99 a deal or MSRP? A quick search online shows this price nearly everywhere.

Got this recently. I haven't used Rain-X in a long time so it's hard to compare. But this stuff is great. Yes, it takes a bit of elbow grease to get it on. But once it's on, even on my pitted 14 year old windshield and with not the newest wipers, it works great in the rain. The wipers don't streak and the water runs right off. It doesn't take much of the stuff for one or two coats, so I think it will last a while as well.
