I have a gen 3, will I be able to use the same wall bracket or I need to reinstall the whole wiring etc.

I changed out the wall bracket and wiring when I upgraded mine. Gen 4 works better with my wiring setup than the Gen 3.

I think they should just get a thermostat that's not connected to any service. 🤷 ♂️ I've never had issues with longevity. I think a lot of people are salty because Google stopped support for connectivity for decade old tech and over blow it by claiming it's bricked completely. I mean it sucks that support is ending for Gen 1 and 2 but anything tech can have that issue down the road.

I've had my 3rd Gen for about 8 years now. It's working fine for the most part, but my wife isn't happy with the schedules it creates. This is in stock near me, is it worth the upgrade?
