Deal Details
Receive one free year of ChatGPT Plus if within 12 months of retirement or separation.

The program is designed to help veterans and transitioning service-members use AI to translate military experience into civilian language, one of the most common barriers to post-service employment.
Verification and Access
To ensure eligibility, OpenAI is partnering with SheerID, a veteran verification platform, to confirm service status and distribute codes securely. The program is open to all U.S. military veterans and servicemembers within one year of retirement or separation.

Once verified, veterans receive access to OpenAI's most advanced model, GPT-4, through ChatGPT Plus, normally a $20-per-month subscription. The company emphasized that this includes all the latest features, such as memory and custom instructions, to make the experience more personalized and effective.

Veterans can learn more and verify their eligibility at https://chatgpt.com/veterans-claim

It's saying "Invalid discharge date". I tried from 2 different computers and my phone.

Edit: Now I see the disclaimer that it's only for people who have separated in the past year.

So they are specifically targeting that group. I imagine it's because such people often get a civilian contractor job with the DoD or other government work. This allows OpenAI to specifically target people with government information who may not be as secured as actual DoD staff.

It's about the information collection.

You don't get info from AI.

AI gets info from you.

Obviously AI gets info from you, that's literally the entire premise, but there is an abundance of info that AI provides and so much that it can assist with. If you disagree, you probably just don't know how to use it.
