Unfortunately not in this price range. In my research it seems to get a handheld that plays PS2 well you're gonna need to spend a couple of hundred dollars. I've been keeping my eye on the Retroid Pocket 5 but it's still over $200.

Here is a nice spreadsheet that has what handhelds can play what.

Hope this helps!

I don't think the pocket air mini prices include shipping so it's more like $50 more. I would pay that for a primary device as long as you know what you're getting into. Android is a bit more effort to set up vs. linux

I can't reach the page for the rg cube xx. It flashes on screen momentarily, then displays a 404 error that the item isn't available. I have seen this before for multiple aliexpress items where they magically disappear.

anyone else experience this?

Yeah id grab one as these are getting more powerful and have better ergonomics but I already have 3 ambernic devices. Maybe in a few years when there are some major upgrades I'll jump back in.

There are major upgrades they just cost a lot more. There's the Thor for dual screen emulator the Konkr and Odin 3 for up to Switch emulation.

No wifi. You either remove the SD card or connect this via USB cable to access the SD card.

As someone who has bought too many of these kinds of handhelds, I have enjoyed using the Trimui Smart Pro the most. It plays up to Sega Saturn, PS1, PSP very well.

Indeed. CrossMix-OS custom firmware really makes that one shine

It is pretty comfy and so is the smart pro. I'm cleaning out my collection of the smaller devices and both of those mentioned are staying!

The Trimui Smart Pro should have wifi, the others do not. Like the other person alluded to, you load games directly via the card or (with some devices) it is easier to load the games via a USB cable. Depends on if the ROMS are stored on a hidden partition but that varies by OS.

*That being said, I think there is a way to use FTP transfers as well, again, assuming you have wifi or use a dongle. That always seemed like too much effort to bother with when I can just drag and drop files via SD card or USB.
