I'm also just a boy, but I'm going with the Costco one purely for the (essentially) forever warranty. With Amazon, the return period ends Jan 31st, so if giving for Christmas like me, she's got basically just over a month to decide whether to keep it or not. With Costco, if it breaks or if she decides it's not for her 6 months from now, it's a free & easy in-store return
