Maybe, but if I was staring at text all day I would personally go for an IPS and/or higher res. This monitor is awesome for games and shows, but text isn't its strong suit. Also note the 800r, it's more curved than a lot of other monitors you see and can be too much if you don't sit relatively close to it. I love it, but I move any text/reading to my second monitor.

Why is OLED not good for text? Or is it just this particular model?
I look at code a lot and trying to upgrade from an IPS monitor.

It has to do with with the sub-pixel layout which just means how the blue/red/green etc are arranged in each pixel. If you search for oled vs ips subpixel layout there are lots of pictures if you're interested in seeing it, or you can see it on monitor review sites (rtings has a very similar model to this). The pictures will show it better, but basically text will have some coloring or fringing similar to chromatic aberration in cameras.
AFAIK this is common with oled panels though new layouts are getting better, it also has to do with how the operating system renders the text.

I like my oled monitor for reading texts. I am a medical student and read textbooks and do assignments on the 45 inch version of this monitor for hours and I don't seem to notice blurry text (btw I'm coming from dual 32 inch 4k monitors). At first for like 4 or 5 days I was adjusting to the text but then it got normal.
