Why do companies still sell lights that make you cycle into strobe to turn it off. You couldn't pay me carry a light with this feature

Press and hold power for 2 secs, it will turn it off instantly in any mode.. Been std for every light forever

I got these last week and if you turn one on and use it for like 10+ seconds, the next time you click the button they go off and don't cycle through the 2 other modes. I do agree that the strobe on a different button or not at all, would be better.
