Typing from this computer now, it's a beast for how small it is. Added 64GB to mine. Slightly shocked that even a single person returned theirs, it's also very quiet and doesn't heat up my office like bigger Omens have. The 16GB TI can run some decent lil models via Ollama that the 8 version can't ( HP also sells this w/ an 8 if I recall )

This machine looks way more interesting than the mini PC gamer that have been released.

Interesting...anyone know where to get a matching 16GB memory stick since it only comes with a single 16gb stick\not dual channel as such.

I have an 11th gen i7 w/ a 5070 12GB and I think my CPU is the bottleneck (as well as DDR4). Wondering if this is worth upgrading but I saw PSU is only 500w so I think the 5060ti it comes w/ is about as much as it can handle?

The OMEN Desktop Intel Core Ultra 7, 32 GB, 1 TB SSD, RTX5060, Windows 11 Home that Newegg had for $879.99(Now $1,489.99) would be a better deal. Unfortunely PSU is only 400 W? There does seem to be an identical one on their site for $1,898.99. The only difference is it has a 500 W PSU? $400 for that upgrade seems a little pricy?

New is only $1120. Less than 15% off doesn't seem like a great discount for Open Box Excellent.

Being an HP, you'll probably only be able to get the matching stick from them for crazy money, and if you go out and buy a 2 x 16gb kit, you can't run it at full speed as the bios doesn't support XMP. I talk from experince but thankfully I only paid $150 for my HP.

I know what your saying, but this has the Ti graphics card and a further 8GB or GDDR7. It's therefore probably worth the extra $100 or so.

Is this one of those HP systems that uses a bunch of proprietary parts?

Just received mine today. Is the fan in the back supposed to be making a slight clicking sound? It's a bit annoying.

Memory, standard
Dual channel (one DIMMs per channel) memory architecture
Two DDR5-5600 UDIMM (288-pin) sockets
Memory configuration options
  • 32 GB DDR5-5600 MT/s (2 x 16 GB)
  • 16 GB DDR5-5600 MT/s (2 x 8 GB)
  • 16 GB DDR5-5600 MT/s (1 x 16 GB)
  • 8 GB DDR5-5600 MT/s (1 x 8 GB)
HP will be super expensive, I would get a matching pair from Crucial.com

Would be a good deal but I'm seeing prices roughly $100 higher at every tier
