I really want this for no good reason. I've already had 3-4 other handhelds that were functionally the same. I'd likely play it twice, completely change all the games on it, then get bored, go back to my existing XU20 and RG476H, then put this on eBay for $15+ more than I paid.

Depends on what you want to do. For $20 it might be worth a flyer. Most people looking for a entry vertical handheld to play up to PS1 end up with either a:

* Miyoo Mini Plus

* Anbernic RG-35XX

* TrimUI Brick

You can usually find them on AliExpress for around $40. But they all have a pretty healthy community building and supporting firmware for their respective devices.

K36 is one of the many clones of R36S. If you only want ArkOS for emulation or PortMaster games, it's a fine clone (https://github.com/lcdyk0517/arkos4clone/).

If you want to play around Android and Desktop Linux, get the real R36S for ~$22.
