i bought this set under a different name of nicpro but from the pictures it looks to be a near identical set under a different name. every single one of the 2.0 pencils failed within a week after I took them out in the sun. they don't screw together but are glued. so i guess the heat from the sunlight melted the glue after an hour in the sunlight. then when you pushed to advance the lead, it just came apart. also the price was nearly identical to this price now.

Looks like I bought this for under 13 in February. So maybe not a slickdeal. But I did look at a lot of different pencil sets like this and picked this one over the others.

Just Ok, in my book. There is more grip in the plastic body than the metal grips in the 2.0 pencils. Like they polished them too much.

Pleae don't buy these as a gift for the mechanical pencil enthusiast (yes, we exist) in your life. They will be disappointed. I buy these types of pencils for my daughter (also a mechanical pencil enthusiast) to loan or give away to classmates, so people don't walk off with her "good" pencils.
edit: I guess my points above are sort of contradictory. To clarify; if you buy them for the pencil enthusiast in your life, don't buy them thinking that they're going to be excited to use them.

Zebra has a nice metal mechanical pencil. Bic also has nice set that has slightly more break resistant leads

Dumb Q: how to sharpen the is lead stick?
Just install into the pencil and rotate all together into the sharpener, like usual pencil?
