Great to have when cutting down limbs that are 3-4 inches in width. Any bigger than that, the chainsaw will bind and overload. Is much easier than pulling out my 16 inch chainsaw just for small limbs.
Pro Tip: There no point in sharpening the chains when it dull. You can get a 5 pack for under 9 bucks.

Chainsaw
Case
2x batteries
2x chains
The above is worth $20 any day. I used this chainsaw for cutting a limb around 6 inches and it went through it rather fast. Not as quick as my gas powered one, but this isn't a gas powered one. Much smaller (easier to carry) and quiet (used at a camp ground).
Every tool has a use set, and for what this is, it's well worth $20.
The only thing I'm not fully sold on is the oiler, (manual oil via a bottle), but this isn't for clearing a forest, so adding oil between cuts isn't too bad.

This thing cut down 15+ (3-4 in) tree stumps. I burned my hand earlier this year and my yard went nuts. It's well worth $20.

For those who have owned/used this, how often did you manually oil the chain (via a bottle)?
A "normal" chainsaw constantly puts oil on the bar/chain. With that in mind, I'd put it on after each (large) cut. It just makes the bar and chain last longer, so value your time vs this entire thing being $20. The oil itself isn't free either.
For smaller (1" branches) maybe after a dozen cuts it should be oiled again.
Best - every 5 seconds, but realistic, see above.
The above is my 5 cents (can't give 2 cents due to coin shortage)

I saw another one that's a bit more expensive but has an oil container and a button where you squirt the oil as you go. This sounds like the one I bought that didn't have that oil-reservoir and squirter built-in. But for $20, I'd go the same route as the guy above.

Have this one and have used it many times including cutting several trash cans full of 2-4 inch kindling for this winter. Wife uses to prune her 60 fruit trees. Dont know how long it will last but would buy again. Oil chain about every 20 cuts. Still using first chain and its sharp.

This looks like it may be compatible with makita batteries. Can anyone confirm?
Yes, my Makita battery works well on this.

What kind of oil is recommended? Is there an easy squirt bottle you use?

You need Chainsaw Oil and you just squirt over the chain. You can use one of them olive oil bottle squirters.

I got this on a lark at about this price a month ago and am SHOCKED at how good it is. A 14' branch fell in my yard and I sliced up in about 90 seconds. The debris guard is excellent!

They sell bar and chain oil in aerosol cans with the straw. Probably be your best bet.

Be sure to pair this with a $0.20 pair of safety glasses.
Agreed, but worth noting it comes with a pair!

I purchased one of these and can confirm it works shockingly well for cutting through limbs. 6" diameter limbs is very doable with this.

Can used car oil is good for this, or any chain saw.

Wonder how well this would work on a deer carcass. Clearly it'd destroy the meat in the area of the cut but not concerned about that for when it would be used.
