The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is not "too weak" for an RTX 5080.
It will, in fact, outperform the Intel i9-14900KF in most games, especially at high framerates and high-end GPU configurations.
If your main use case is gaming — especially with an RTX 5080 — the 9800X3D is the superior choice.
If you also do heavy workstation loads (Blender, code compiling, video rendering), then:
Intel = stronger multithread

For the price, you could always just buy the case you want, and sell the old case. Or if you have a case you like, just swap. Just a thought, I know it's not ideal for most.

Good one, but pretty sure only a few units per store, to bring you in, and you won't be able to take it home at this time or later.

Checks all the boxes except not having 64GB RAM, and this being limited for upgrading due to barely adequate PS, then, as the G759 uses an X870 board vs B850 in the G757, so you might check if the B850 board is a slight downgrade vs top-tier boards (for future upgrades, features, etc).

Otherwise, enjoy it if you actually got one.

How is the barely adequate PS a limitation for upgrading? Or were you referring to the B850?

I initially picked up the Walmart machine but decided to grab this deal too to compare. So far the Microcenter machine is much quieter under full load but is slightly louder at idle. I'm a bit worried about the 5080 in it leaking goo since it's a known issue with Gigabyte cards but ultimately I'll most likely return the Cyberpower machine unless something else comes up in my testing.

I bought both this one and the $2,300 Asrock/9800X3D deal (well, bought as in reserved). Going to go pick it up today. Probably going with this $2,000 system, due to the possible Asrock/9800X3D chip issues. But, now you're mentioning "leaking goo" on Gigabyte boards. I don't really follow too much news on computer hardware tech, so this is new to me. Is it a major concern?

I don't know too much about it myself but I came across some comments on reddit about it. Apparently Gigabyte switched to some sort of thermal gel for their GPUs instead of the usual thermal pads. Some users have been reporting that over time it leaks out because of the heat of the GPU. I recommend searching reddit for "Gigabyte leaking goo" and making a decision based on the results.

If it does end up becoming a problem with the one I bought, hopefully it's within the first year so the warranty covers it (or two years since I used a card with extended warranty).
