I was just researching this and it looks like the only differences are the brown box packaging, additional year of warranty coverage, and slightly different coloring. The older retail versions (3, 3S) used the unifying receiver, but it looks like all variants now use the bolt receiver.

Why is this such a good deal? I think these normally go more discounted Black Friday....
also for most discounts, new releases are excluded until past the holiday season so this was unexpected

Had same issue then found out it was through P@W, so would not take the code. Had to just settle with standard CB site. Hope it helps.

Am I understanding right that this can be paired with up to three devices, but you have to flip it over to switch devices?!?
I was dealing with this frustration the past couple days haha -- I just did a new setup and want to be able to more quickly switch my mouse between devices -- and that the switch is on the bottom is admittedly minor but when you're doing it a lot it rapidly becomes a huge annoyance!

I have been trying out workarounds but haven't found a great one.

There is a way to do this in software, but it requires you to install the Logitech Options+ software on all of the devices (meaning it won't work if one of the devices isn't a mac or pc). You can assign an Action Wheel to a button, and only on that wheel can you add a command to switch to the next device. This might work but I don't want Logitech's bloatware on all my devices.

Logitech also has an option (again that requires their software on all of the relevant devices you want to switch between) that will let you move between desktops by going off the edge of a device (Macs have this functionality built in, it's called Universal Control).

Neither of those made me happy so I started looking for a different mouse.

I tried the M720 which has a button to switch on the top. It's a third button next to the two side buttons. It is REMARKABLY EASY for me to hit this *instead* of a side button. I hated it.

I tried another generic mouse but hated the feel. I've really grown to love the feel of the Master mice.

I have a "Arteck Multi-Device Wireless Bluetooth Mouse" that is supposed to arrive today I'm going to try next.

These mice are great except for this one shitty thing (which is VERY REGULARLY complained about on their forums). If I could tell the hardware to use the side button as a device switch I'd be so happy but that's never going to happen. I'm a bit of a conspiracy nut and think this is probably so they can sell you two mice instead of one. I mean, probably not, but it feels good to think it.

And, of course, if you don't care about switching between devices or do it very rarely, this isn't a big deal and you will probably be very happy with this mouse!

Just used the code to buy 2 Master 2S mice for $49 Each. Been using those and the Master 3S mice (2) for years and the 2S for $49 is a deal IMO.

Thanks for the post for the coupon code.

What is so special about this mouse? Clearly by the comments people think it's a good deal, but I don't think I've paid more than $10 for a wireless mouse and they seem to work just fine. What makes this one worth so much?

FYI this WILL NOT pair with non-logibolt receivers (non-business). If your keyboard or other logitech accessories are not business class they will need their own seperate receiver.
This is not true: the mouse will pair via Bluetooth if no logibolt receiver is connected. Also, it will connect to any logibolt receiver if you choose to use it.

I'll consider it when Logitech adds board storage and macro functions to the MX series.
What would you use storage for? Customization?I assume this wouldn't bode well for businesses

What youre saying is totally different. I did not say it wouldnt pair via Bluetooth but only that it will not pair with non-logibolt receiver (ex. Regular unifying recievers).

the problem is that you may not able to install driver on some pc, if you can store some predefined operation input, it would save lots of time. sometime it is just some shortkey+mouse operation series, you can do it manually each time, but you don't want to do the same stuff 10 or 100 times every day....

of course the simple solution is to use G series, like G502 which could solve the problem though you lose an extra wheel. but there is another option, keychron M6, memory with 2 wheels
