Amazon [amazon.com] has Ring Outdoor Cam Plus (Newest Model, PoE+), White with PoE+ Converter Mount on sale for $139.98. Shipping is free.

This is Ring's successor to the Stick Up Cam Elite. The Elite is 1080p and the one I currently use. This successor is 2K. Pretty good deal considering it was just released.

Note: This is the PoE+ model which enables you to get power and an internet connection via one Ethernet cable.

Wondering if I can use the Poe without the big base. Mounting in a wooden soffit, maybe I can drill a bigger hole and push the adapter up inside.

I have the same question. It would be ridiculous if they require you to use that PoE adapter.

I wouldn't mind finding a bricked one really cheap so I could experiment with the mounting methods.
