It's brushed motor but the trans can handle a brushless motor. RTR. Meaning you don't have to build it

Maybe if you are new to the hobby. With RTR I assume the problem is lack of battery, but that is pretty standard for a RTR. It sucks when you are just getting into the hobby, but once you have a few cars and a charger and batteries you would not appreciate having to pay extra for chargers and batteries when you don't need them.

The gears being able to handle brushless is great if you are planning on upgrading later on, you won't have to upgrade the entire drive train if you add brushless power.

It's really annoying when a listing says RTR (ready to run) when TECHNICALLY it is not in fact rtr! You still need to purchase other items in order to make it run!
