just select item didn't match description, then write out what it was in the comments... i've done it many times over the years when Amazon either sends me the wrong thing entirely, or it's just a different thing in the box.

Amazon is shady AF with actually tracking stock, but they also don't give a ratsass about returns, so it's a big 'ol who cares.

As tempting as this looks, bought a similar listing a couple weeks back Sapphire Pulse 9070 XT for $499.99, a FBA Marketplace listing shipped by Amazon, sold by a Chinese seller, I received a cheap watch band in a padded envelope. Amazon quickly refunded but this stuff is annoying and Amazon needs to stop this. This obviously is not real.

Thanks for the info. Sadly last time I had a solar panel missing which Amazon resent to me. Then later the initial order said delivered, and Amazon accused me of receiving twice and charged me again. Tried talking to them without success and they asked me to go talk with UPS myself. I guess my luck sucks so good luck all on this. It will be awesome if you guys can actually receive the 5090 at this price.

That's a good question especially in this situation where it shows one day shipping. In my case the shipping was 4 days out and maybe they hope to get paid out and leave Amazon holding the bag? I think it's preventable because Amazon shipped it from one of their warehouses and either a person or some kind of AI picking robot had a pick ticket for a 3.2 lb GPU and still picked, packed and shipped a cheap watch band in a padded envelope . Obviously whatever losses Amazon bears probably get factored into their pricing which gets passed on to consumers. I think Amazon needs to do better.

I think you'll most likely receive a pencil case similar to those who received a hair dryer in this scam 'deal' : https://slickdeals.net/f/18612487

That deal was also a "sold by 3rd party, shipped by Amazon." With Amazon tightening up returns on pricier items, you'll likely have to wait weeks for them to inspect the return.



As much as I generally enjoy a gamble,I think I'll be passing on this one. Good luck to those who try.

Amazon used to refund as soon as they scanned the return label. But lately they have been waiting to inspect the returns before refunding. Not worth the hassle of having your money tied down

Credit card money, not your (if you play the game correctly, anyway).

As the (shortened) saying goes - "Bank cares really well for it's money and that's why various credit card protections are this much better and why you should be using them instead of debit cards".

Also I am still gettign instant or near instant refunds nowadays.
