I don't see new iphone listed in your account. i also made several call and text message using the old unlock phone and everything seems right. Can i submit unlock request now?

I got the AT&T 16 pro as an upgrade online but does anyone know if it's possible to use a new phone number because my old one has so much spam? If so, what are the proper procedures for my 13 pro which has a sim card. Thanks
First you can pay the phone off. Then You can open a new line with ATT and use the phone on that account.

Doesn't hurt to try, depending on when you paid off you might need to wait until midnight.

Forgive me if this has been discussed already, but what's the best way to cancel the line with Verizon? I ordered online, got the phone last night and activated it. I paid off the device this morning so now I just need to cancel. I don't have any other lines with Verizon, so should I just cancel the whole account? Or is it better to port it out?
Just cancel through chat making sure the line is disconnected immediately

oh, i selected ATT customer. i just tried to select not ATT customer and IMEI option and got the following message (i paid off today 4 hours ago): "You can't unlock your device until your installment plan is paid off. If you pay off your device as part of your monthly bill, wait until the start of your next bill period to unlock it.
Want to pay off your device early? Make sure your number has been active on the device for at least 60 days. Then, sign into your account to review and pay off your installment plan. Wait 48 hours after you make your final payment to submit a new unlock request."

Yeah, that's what I expected. You need to wait until midnight today for the unlock portal to sync payoff option and then submit an unlock request.

Looks like ATT phones, you can unlock it right away, (you dont have to wait 60 days). if you unlock and cancel the line, is that going to hamper with receiving the 500gc which can take some time? they say 21 days etc?

How many days you have from the activation to cancel the line where the ATT will waive the activation fee? my walmart instore gift card is not received, they say might take 3 to 5 days, so I dont want to disconnect the service yet incase that will stop my GC or GC comes from walmart so there is connection between what happens to the service with ATT.

Also they tell me because I paid in full the promotional offer could not be applied, is this true? meaning you have to get the GC first and then pay the phone?

Hello all! Just as a note, if the Verizon store is not letting you pay off the device because it says you cannot buyout until a set date (December for me), you need to mention you will pay cash, as per the original post. What threw me for a loop is that the two representatives i talked to would not take any payment (including cash) because of the note on my account, which is probably standard. you need to just find a person or another store that will do it. Paid $1099 in cash (for Pro Max), got receipt on account history, plus screenshot etc. (did not get physical receipt, but probably should have tried).

Just keep trying and don't be discouraged, just keep bothering them till they make you leave.

I did the same and received an email from AT&T to activate my account once the phone is shipped. Now I can access my account and pay off the phone. But I have the idea to pay it off and cancel the line before the phone arrives. I think it would be unlocked. I tried this last year with AT&T through Best Buy, and it worked. But I do not know if the phone from AT&T will come locked right out of the box. I need some advice on that.
The phone will not be unlocked just bc you paid it off and cancelled the line. The phone will revert to Reseller Flex Lock policy. I just did this on ATT.

Order phone on 11/14, new account activated same day, got phone delivered today 11/18. On 11/16, I didn't want the account to go past 3 days of activation so I paid it off and cancelled the line. Today, I checked sickw.com and the phone says Reseller Flex Lock policy and will lock as soon as I activate it with whatever carrier at setup.

I have another ATT line that I opened on 11/16 for another iphone 16 that already unlocked. I will activate this phone on that line and do the eSIM swap to get this phone unlocked.

3 days for waiving activation fee but for ATT they give you a one time courtesy of waiving the act ivation fee instantly from the bill by clicking on "Don't recognize this fee" even after 3 days. The GC should not be dependent on what you do with the carriers but you do need to cancel the line before 14 days with ATT to not get charged for a full months plan.

Some are successful paying it through phone so I'd try that first anyway.

This might see like a stupid question, but i will ask. I have paid off and cancelled the line with verizon. I can now do a factory reset of the phone, erase esim etc., and it should still unlock within 60 days if connected to wifi, right? TIA

Dont recognize this fee, is that you do on the credit card side or in your ATT account?

Also if I dont receive the GC I want to return this phone. The walmart wouldnt take it, how would one return the phone? when you call ATT, the ATT says you have to return where you bought it. The walmart online says since it is not a walmart.com order, they cant help.

I paid off the phone at the time of store purchase, was able to unlock the phone online. can I go ahead and cancel the line? Havent received the GC yet and I need to leave an option to return the phone in case the GC doesnt come in 3-5 days.
