I've had this monitor for about a year now. The display is nice, but I have a few complaints about it.
There is a small popping sound that happens every minute or so. Others have this issue with the G55T as well.
I have a 6700xt, and it has had so many issues with specifically this monitor. Updating drivers sometimes makes the monitor not work. There is sometimes lots of tearing. Sometimes it says the resolution isn't optimal and refuses to work.
And the most annoying issue I have is after using emulators that use Vsync, it needs to have the video driver reset or else horizontal lines appear and take over the screen. This eventually will crash the PC.

I've never had issues with a monitor like I do with this one. I would not recommend the G55T to anyone.

I ordered a couple of these last December and took them right back. Stands were very weak and wobbly. And reviews of the panel weren't great.

Most curved screens are VA, I'm pretty sure. I have this screen and love it. It does have some slight ghosting of the cursor on certain screens like spreadsheets, but I rarely notice it. Only other comment is that it makes an odd, slight beeping sound when sleeping.

HVA panels are becoming very afordable from Chinese suppliers like TCL. You can easily get a 2k HVA monitor under $200 now. If Samsung and LG don't dump their stocking units out, these will devalue soon.

Or maybe we should all avoid Samsung monitors and stick to their phones.

As expected "gaming" monitors have ratings that don't justify their price and Tvs are just as good if not better. 7.3 overall. And it's high rating is cause it has high refresh. Which you won't be using 240hz refresh if you don't set your game settings back to Playstation 2 graphics. And probably won't be able to use it at all on new games. And probably be playing in 1080p.

Its ultra low input lag is offset by its ultra low 2.1/10 response Time rating. Really that means it's more like a 5/10 or less. Cause how t/f does input lag matter if response is horrid. Highsense Tvs don't even have 2.1/10 response times.

Best use I can think to get this is if someone at school kept beating me up cause I told the class i had a 60hz 16:9 monitor. 😅

Edit my bad assumed it's 240hz cause the HZ is what drove the entire rating to be high. It's only 160. You can run that with mid gfx and a lot of tearing with v synch off if you have a super computer.

That "slight ghosting" is from a 2.2-4.1 (depending on refresh rate) response time rating. 2.2/10 isn't slight. Ive only noticed ghosting on one 50 inch $149 hisense I bought the year that brand came out. 1 out of the 50+ screens I've owned. And 1000+ I've used.

Also if you do own this higher refresh slightly decreases the ghosting 2/10 to 4/10 is huge but 4/10 isn't huge so ymmv. But as you probably already know you won't be playing new games at 140hz.

Lower price is a draw, but only 250 nits? How dim does the room have to be lol. Any who have this model comment?

This is my current main monitor. I had to change the brightness to 70% to feel comfortable.

Yes, most are. Especially anything reasonably priced.
