you can buy bronze plan - $35 on the last day from walmart.com and select Direct Top Up option and provide phone number.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Straig...om=/search

Straight Talk has a "Reserve" system:

you can add a plan to your account before your current service ends. Straight Talk Extras+1
Plans you add to the Reserve are automatically applied on your Service End Date.

What Happens If You "Activate Now" Instead of Reserving

If you choose to not reserve but instead apply the new plan immediately, Straight Talk warns: you will lose any remaining days on your current plan.

Scenario ("$55 plan ends Dec 17, 2025; you want to add a $35 plan early for the second month")

If you add the $35 plan now and put it in Reserve, it will not start immediately. Instead, it will wait and begin on Dec 17, 2025, when your current $55 plan ends.
It won't overlap or "stack" service days unless you choose to activate the plan immediately (which is risky because you'll lose remaining days).

Already drove to several WM locations. They all ran out. New shipment expected tomorrow for one of locations but it's only gonna be 2 more. lol out of luck for me because I don't feel like shelling out extra $100 by ordering online.

A slick deal if you can snag one!

Nope, has to be on ST for 2 months. Phone doesn't even work on Total, at least I couldn't get it activated using the 2nd IMEI.
Are you sure about that? Total and ST are both same parent company. I would be surprised if the 2nd IMEI couldn't be used on Total.

Got it at my Walmart. Around 289 after CA sales tax. No funny business aside from the Walmart wifi being so bad it took 40 minutes to troubleshoot an Apple ID login issue and do the required test call.

You dont need to login to an apple account to do a test call. The phone can be had with service without an apple account login. Yes, you need an account to use the app store, but the basic functions, no apple account needed.

Doesn't the phone already come with 1 month of service?
You have to purchase a plan to get discount so people that don't get activated in store and manage to activate on TW or TF are just throwing away $$ because they're losing the 30 day ST paid plan.
And since carry over plans no longer qualify for phone unlocking they will still have to purchase 60 more days of service on those too.

My receipt shows as ST ESP55 for the $55 plan, and I got the phone discount, but the network on the screen shows TW/ST. Does that matter? After updating to IOS 26.1, it just shows as Verizon now on the cellular page. I realize that ST/TW/TF are owned by Verizon.

Yes, at purchase at walmart. They have a store policy that every phone gets a test call before they let you walk out.

Used to work but think Verizon blocked it. Can only use TW after the phone is unlocked in 60 days.

Phone automatically activates when you turn it on. Phone number will be based on location your store is located at.

Update: I reached Straight Talk's Port-in Department at 800-327-2077 and they solved my problem in 15 minutes flat. I ported in my number and lived happily ever after. The guy I talked to today knew his stuff. The people I talked to yesterday knew nothing.
I purchased one today for $284.93 total ($199 for the phone; $55 for the Gold Unlimited plan and $30.93 in taxes on the full price of the phone and plan). All of the local Walmarts had them in stock. I called the nearest Walmart before I left to confirm they had a Straight Talk Wireless representative on-site who could process the order. I arrived and explained I wanted the $199 iPhone deal with a Straight Talk Wireless plan. He seemed to be generally aware of the special, but not totally familiar with all of the details. I had the website up on my phone in case he had questions. Buying the phone was the easiest part. Porting my phone number in from Visible Wireless has been a near total disaster.
First, I was unable to activate the phone via the Straight Talk website and was forced to call their customer support line. I've read this situation commonly occurs when the sales person doesn't correctly scan all of the necessary bar codes on the box. Some people report they've had to return to Walmart to get in rescanned.
The customer support person was able to activate the phone, but failed miserably to port my number over. She had me on the phone for nearly 90 minutes and it was obvious she didn't know what she was doing. I gave her my phone number and e-mail address and didn't receive any of the verification codes she claimed she sent me. The phone was activated and assigned a phone number other than the one I was trying to port in.
I called back to straighten it out and was disconnected from the next person I talked to after about 2 minutes. The third person I talked to transferred me to a department that didn't handle porting issues. The fourth person I dealt with seemed knowledgeable about the process. I was on the phone with her for about 30 minutes. The porting process failed because the Visible account number I provided wasn't correct, even though it's exactly the same account number Visible provided me when I requested the information to port out.
The customer service rep said she couldn't find Visible in their database of cell phone providers. She ended up selecting Verizon to advance the porting process. After the information I provided didn't work, she told me I'd have to call back tomorrow morning and talk to somebodyin the porting department. I "locked" my phone number at Visible and will generate a fresh port PIN tomorrow to try it again. The whole thing has discouraged me from ever trying this sort of thing again. The process has been terrible and an awful waste of my valuable time.
One important note: The call center is obviously located in India or the Philippines. There was fairly significant language barrier that contributed to probably 75% of the problems. We were simply having trouble clearly communicating and the customer service reps were poorly trained.

You're better off getting a new number during the whole process. It's only 2 month wait. Less hassle.

Or port your number to google voice in 5 minutes and be done with it lol. Would have avoided all of that nonsense.
