you can buy bronze plan - $35 on the last day from walmart.com and select Direct Top Up option and provide phone number.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Straig...om=/search

Straight Talk has a "Reserve" system:

you can add a plan to your account before your current service ends. Straight Talk Extras+1
Plans you add to the Reserve are automatically applied on your Service End Date.

What Happens If You "Activate Now" Instead of Reserving

If you choose to not reserve but instead apply the new plan immediately, Straight Talk warns: you will lose any remaining days on your current plan.

Scenario ("$55 plan ends Dec 17, 2025; you want to add a $35 plan early for the second month")

If you add the $35 plan now and put it in Reserve, it will not start immediately. Instead, it will wait and begin on Dec 17, 2025, when your current $55 plan ends.
It won't overlap or "stack" service days unless you choose to activate the plan immediately (which is risky because you'll lose remaining days).

THANKS for sharing this. I grabbed one direct from ST as well with the $120/3mo silver plan. FYI, there's also a $25 CB at amex right now (20% back, capped at $25) for those looking to avoid Walmart. Smilie
Also for those that bank or have a cc with Capital 1. Their offers website is doing $30 cashback shopping through the portal.

Sorry. I'm a bit confused. Is it $254 total? I understand that includes one month of their Gold Unlimited plan, but you do need to spend more to get a second month for it to unlock, right?
Also, is this deal likely to come back? Not sure if I'll be able to get it tomorrow (11/16).
it's like $320 total still like half price of Apple.com

No way! An iPhone 16 Pro for $350 plus a $55 service plan? I'd definitely take the 16 Pro.

Depends on where you are. And it has to be a Walmart supercenter. The small stores don't do it. The one I went to is 9 minutes away. There are three supercenters witnin 20 miles of where I live. They all have personel that activate phones.
I have 2 super centers near me and neither have anyone to activate them. I'm considering just paying the $300 for the phone and trying to do the cheaper plans to get it unlocked.

Any Walmart employee that knows how to use the WARP at the cash register at the electronic dept can check out for you. Make sure they scan the activation barcode on the box before you pay, else the phone won't activate. You don't have to wait for those black-shirt, third-party mobile employees to come to work to check out the phone for you unless it's a postpaid phone where they have log in and key in their number.

I couldn't get them to ring the phone up since they said it would need to be activated and they couldn't do it.

First, go to ST website and use their store locator to find WMs that MAY offer the deal. Then call those WMs, transfer to the electronics dept and confirm if they offer the deal, if they have it in stock and when one of the phone-activation specialists will be there. If they don't pickup...keep calling...don't waste time driving around.

The experience is not user-friendly.

It activates when they ring it up if it's done correctly by scanning the barcodes properly.

Hopefully this can clear some of this up on in-store activation part. All that has to be done is the phones barcodes scanned properly and this is the in store activation. They have Esims and it activated by the IMEI which is one of the barcodes on the back of the box. I had all kinds of trouble upgrading my daughter's phone that already had straight talk. Even though the Walmart activation person said they could do it they couldn't. Wasted hours in the store. So just buy the phone and makes sure they scan the bar codes properly and you will be good to go. If trying to upgrade a current straight talk number like I was buy the phone with new number then call the straight talk port in number that someone posted on here. Tell you want to port your current number to the new phone. It a process. But was able to keep the days left on my daughter's current plan and add the $55 plan I bought to it's reserve. Make sure you are very thorough while your on the phone with the port in help. We had to fix a lot of things but I was able to get it working.

My comment was that it had to be a supercenter but not all supecenters do it as I said in a later post. I have a 'regular' Walmart closer to home but was told that none of the regular stores are not set up to do this.

The guy needed to do more than scan the barcodes for me. He needed my license and email to create an account. Then gave me the phone unopened and it activated when I turned it on.

Apple has discontinued the 16 pro. When they were still selling them they were $899.99.

Ok so turned out that those who supposed to activate the phone are either limited due to rotating personnel or they just don't have any in stock.

I went to another store that has one AND so was the person to activate the phone. This is good news.

They were able to activate and ring it up for me and I bought one.

$254.99 plus $55 for extra month of service. $305 plus tax equates $340 ish.

CA tax sucks and imagine with Apple?? I did good and only took me 20 minutes lol.

Just need to wait 2 months to have it unlocked. 12 months is ridiculously long.

I do not want this. I need this. I need the cheapest latest entry level brand new iPhone. My daily driver is the 8 plus.

ask the walmart rep at electronic counter to scan the ST label with the first barcode, than it will prompt for the second barcode. Also make sure you have $55 gold unlimited plan refill card scanned which will bring down the iPhone price to $199. The screen quickly display activated message. After 1 1/2 day(did get a chance before) i did the activation on ST website where it has a section for phones purchased at walmart.
