you can buy bronze plan - $35 on the last day from walmart.com and select Direct Top Up option and provide phone number.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Straig...om=/search

Straight Talk has a "Reserve" system:

you can add a plan to your account before your current service ends. Straight Talk Extras+1
Plans you add to the Reserve are automatically applied on your Service End Date.

What Happens If You "Activate Now" Instead of Reserving

If you choose to not reserve but instead apply the new plan immediately, Straight Talk warns: you will lose any remaining days on your current plan.

Scenario ("$55 plan ends Dec 17, 2025; you want to add a $35 plan early for the second month")

If you add the $35 plan now and put it in Reserve, it will not start immediately. Instead, it will wait and begin on Dec 17, 2025, when your current $55 plan ends.
It won't overlap or "stack" service days unless you choose to activate the plan immediately (which is risky because you'll lose remaining days).

I just got off the phone with straight talk representative (I bought the phone on November 16th). She told me my service end date was December 15th and she told me I can unlock my phone starting from December 16th. She told me upon activation, you apparently get a 30 day credit from 60day unlock policy. So she told me to call back December 15th to purchase the $10 7 day 5gb data + unlimited call and text plan and get the phone unlocked on the 16th the following day. She told me phone MUST have service at the time of requesting for unlocking the device over the phone with the representative.

The device unlock can be done through the customer service. She told me that she has done this multiple times so, she was confident.
I am going to call the customer service again later so I can confirm this with another representative just in case. Maybe speak to the supervisor as well. Hope this helps.
You really need to read previous ST deals on Slickdeals to find out how things actually work from ST users, that rep doesn't know what they're talking about.

Iphones on ST, TW and TF have auto unlocked for years - there's no reason to contact customer service.
Auto unlock happens over Wi-Fi after the 60 days of active paid service is complete - service doesn't have to still be active. (I've had phones unlock as early as 59 & as late as 62 days, it's not always exactly 60).

Activated this morning and not sure it says 28 days left before refill? I got the phone yesterday with $55 plan.
Can we get a refill before for continue service for next 60 days? Do we need $55 plan again?

Could you answer this gentleman: Thinker. I have the same issue here. When we opened the line, we have 28 days to refill instead of 29 or 30. That's on the day of using the phone.

Also, on the 2nd month if we don't continue to service does that mean it won't get unlocked? So it has to be 2 continuous month?
I was also told we can downgrade the plan on the 2nd month. Is that an ok thing to do? I honestly do not trust the customer service. I hardly even understand them.

Adding plan has always added 30 days before, should be what you purchased.

Many have had phones unlocked without continuous service - happened a lot in April & May when they changed from 30 to 60 day policy & everyone was caught short & had to add an extra month - usually a few days or a week without service because they didn't know. Was a long thread on SD for pre release deal on 16e.
Yes, you can downgrade plan, policy just says 60 days paid service - there's nothing about a specific plan (that's usually just for the original purchase deal). Read & follow the unlock requirements & shouldn't have an issue.

It's ok, it says 28 days but just refill when it ends for another 28 days and it unlocks after de 60 day (just did it with a iPhone 13)

Yes, refilled a month of the $35 plan from walmart.com (it charged less taxes compared to refilling directly on straighttalk.com for me) and it showed the new account end date of 01/14/2026 on my straight talk account.

Was anyone able to activate the one month of Walmart+? I texted WALMART to 611611 and followed the link but it did not work.

Most people value camera... 12 pro probably has better camera system than 16e.. I just want a responsive phone (recent CPU and 8GB of ram) so I chose 16e..
I literally don't know a single person that cares about their camera on their phone as they rarely even use it.

All 30s-40s. At least 20 ppl. Most don't even upgrade to the latest phone cause they think it all looks the same. Most want a phone that runs fast and doesn't lag.

Just got it 284 after taxes. Thanks OP and those that posted that the deal is still active.

One thing to note - make sure the Walmart you go to has in store activation because i had went to one store that ended up sending me to another store to get this deal because that store doesn't do activations. But also that store was VERY unhelpful to begin with

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and want to upgrade to something minimalist and advanced. So I will wait for the iPhone 17e (scheduled for February end) for:
  • Better battery
  • A19 processor
  • Dynamic Island
  • Better front camera
  • Fully unlocked device
  • iOS 26 with bug fixes
  • Thinner bezels
  • More color options
  • Additional new features
  • Rumored price for 128 GB: $499
Must say, the current deal is very tempting, but I'm controlling myself so I can keep all options open — 16e, 17e, and in the worst case, even the 17.
In the worst case, if the 17e doesn't look good, then I will pay > $299 + 2 × $35 plans and get the 16e.
