you can buy bronze plan - $35 on the last day from walmart.com and select Direct Top Up option and provide phone number.

Straight Talk has a "Reserve" system:

you can add a plan to your account before your current service ends. Straight Talk Extras+1
Plans you add to the Reserve are automatically applied on your Service End Date.

What Happens If You "Activate Now" Instead of Reserving

If you choose to not reserve but instead apply the new plan immediately, Straight Talk warns: you will lose any remaining days on your current plan.

Scenario ("$55 plan ends Dec 17, 2025; you want to add a $35 plan early for the second month")

If you add the $35 plan now and put it in Reserve, it will not start immediately. Instead, it will wait and begin on Dec 17, 2025, when your current $55 plan ends.
It won't overlap or "stack" service days unless you choose to activate the plan immediately (which is risky because you'll lose remaining days).

That's Weird.. Works in some stores and not others..??Those who have the phone, do you have any reviews? How do you like it?
I got this as a starter phone for my teenager. I have not heard of any complaints from her so far. So, it pretty much depends on what you're looking for in a phone. I'm pretty satisfied with the phone for my kid's needs.

I paid $199 for the phone. They had to get a manager to modify the price because they couldn't get it to come up on the register correctly.
@dontknow Just to confirm, you got a new number/activated with Total and are hoping to unlock in 60 days but are not sure it will?

I tried to get one but the straight talk associate at Walmart says the promotion is on hold until black Friday - she told they might have sold more and holding it for black Friday deal not sure if it true , she called the manager to check if they can activate it at advertised price and looks like no - looks shady

Yes. I called TW and they it didn't matter that it was a Straight Talk phone, it would still be unlocked in 60 days. I hope he's right.
I'm just confused as to why the ST phone card worked for TW.

Anyone had the issue when the store rep put in the wrong e-mail address?

Now l can't create an account for the 2nd month's plan, and their chat support at Straight Talk don't know how to fix it, even with sending me confirmation codes to the new phones etc..

I can get to the create account screen and see a partial wrong e-mail, but can't edit or delete it, it will allow me to put in a password and pin, but for an e-mail address that is wrong.

Updated - 2nd Straight Talk rep managed to fix it, you'll have to contact them via chat support and hope you get someone that's knowledgeable.

As previously mentioned Straight Talk, Total Wireless and Tracfone are all different divisions of the same company and have been owned by Verizon for 4 yrs. All show either "TFW" or "Verizon" for the network, it doesn't mean it's activated on Total Wireless. All 3 brands have the same 60 day unlock policy.

Since this phone deal requires purchasing a 30 day ST plan with the phone it has to have been activated on ST otherwise the user would have needed to purchase a new plan for TW - plans are not transferable between the different brands.

Not sure what your question is since that's the deal - but if you just activated today it should show 30 days since that's what you purchased.

Their own website shows deal is good from 11/14 to 11/24 in stores so they don't know what they're talking about.

My ST phone was activated with TW, using an ST phone card. I thought they were the same company but then I went to redeem the ST Walmart+ deal only to find that I'm not on ST. When I called TW and asked about, they assured me that I would still be unlocked by Verizon in 60 days, even though I wasn't with ST and it's an ST locked phone. What you're saying seems to contradict this. Should I be worried that my ST phone won't be automatically unlocked after 60 days with TW? Isn't Verizon doing the unlocking, and they're not going to care if the phone was on ST or TW, right?

Same owner but separate brands with different monthly plans/prices using Verizon network as MVNO. Phones are the same but network is determined by the plan it's activated with.

If you activated with a ST plan you're on Straight Talk - that was the $199 Walmart deal & phone would have cost you much more if activated on Total Wireless.

Just because the phone shows "TFW" in the upper corner doesn't mean it's Total Wireless - ALL 3 brands (Tracfone, Total Wireless, Straight Talk) will show either TFW or Verizon, they don't show a specific provider.

Why do you keep insisting you're on TW?

Purchased one today but it seems it's only being offer at select stores where they have a ST rep on hand or that is what I was told. The first store I went to only had Walmart staff and they direct me to a WM store less than a mile from them where they had a rep and that seem to be true. 2 guys in the electronics department that didn't have Walmart vest doing these activations. The process took less than 10 mins. Startup the phone and updated to the latest OS and I'm on the Gold plan for 30 days. Will downgrade to a cheaper plan next month and it hope it unlock in 60 days
