Bought a refurb Sony headphone from ebay that came with the Allstate warranty. The model I bought (XM5) is notorious for having weak hinges that break easily. Sure enough they broke after a few months of normal usage, Allstate repaired them thru warranty.

It's 256gb. Title says 512gb. You might want to fix it as I was about to buy one thinking it was the 512 version.

I don't trust all state warranty. Sounds like a extended car warranty to me. Anyone have experience with it?

Community Reviews

This refurbished Galaxy S24 Ultra is mainly appealing for its flagship hardware at a lower price, with several reports of clean, near flawless units arriving in good shape. The Allstate warranty has real-world claims support, including repairs and full refunds, though the first 30 days can be tougher and the process can be annoying. The biggest cautions are the listing mismatch between 256GB and 512GB, plus concerns about refurbished phones losing water resistance and the camera struggling in dim light. It looks like a solid used-phone option if the storage and condition details are confirmed.

Common Questions (5)

  • The warranty is handled through SquareTrade/Allstate and can pay for repair or refund if the device is not repairable. Claims may require proof or receipts, and the first 30 days can have higher denial rates.

    eduardmcboogakBuckeyefan 1TalentedMask7910

  • At this price, several shoppers consider it high for a refurbished 256GB unit, especially since new 512GB S24 Ultras have been bought for about $600. A fairer target mentioned is 512GB or under $500 for refurb.

    RedflyerftccodealTechngro

  • It is 256GB. The title can show 512GB, but the listing context and buyer checks point to the 256GB version, so shoppers should verify storage before buying.

    EdwardStigMitch_weaver

  • Refurbished units are probably not fully water resistant anymore. If water resistance matters, open-box is the safer choice because it has not been opened for refurbishment.

    SiavashSPTrackrBob

  • The camera is reported to be strong in bright light but poor in dim or less-than-perfect lighting, where photos can look heavily degraded. That makes it less appealing if low-light photography is a priority.

Bought the 24fe for $400 new.
Wanted the 24u because it's the last model with 5x optical zoom.
Add 20x digital and you have 100x but it was double the price. Pass...

But after using the 24fe for a few months, i don't zoom 5x or higher that often. In fact, when i press the pre-set 3x button, i have to take a couple steps back to get everything into frame.

And 30x max zoom was a fun novelty but havent used it in the past 4 weeks.

But waiting for a samsung trade in offer for my 24fe to get 24u for cheap.
Hoping in 2 yrs when i'm running out of space on my 128gig 24fe?

Honestly, you don't need more than 10x zoom IMO.

Allstate bought squaretrade which what it is use for warranty. One of Best warranty around even better than most manufacture warranty. Fix or refund no question ask since is tie to your ebay account. (Asking for proof or purchase or receipts)

Refurbished means it's probably no longer water resistant.

Not as good as Squaretrade, but not horrible. They've got about an 80% rating overall. Denials are higher during the first 30 days, if that helps.
