Bought a refurb Sony headphone from ebay that came with the Allstate warranty. The model I bought (XM5) is notorious for having weak hinges that break easily. Sure enough they broke after a few months of normal usage, Allstate repaired them thru warranty.

It's 256gb. Title says 512gb. You might want to fix it as I was about to buy one thinking it was the 512 version.

I don't trust all state warranty. Sounds like a extended car warranty to me. Anyone have experience with it?

This refurbished Galaxy S24 Ultra is mainly appealing for its flagship hardware at a lower price, with several reports of clean, near flawless units arriving in good shape. The Allstate warranty has real-world claims support, including repairs and full refunds, though the first 30 days can be tougher and the process can be annoying. The biggest cautions are the listing mismatch between 256GB and 512GB, plus concerns about refurbished phones losing water resistance and the camera struggling in dim light. It looks like a solid used-phone option if the storage and condition details are confirmed.

  • The seller's open-box option reportedly arrived flawless with no visible issues after about four days.

    TealMustang7582

  • A 256GB unit in "very good" condition reportedly arrived with no visible flaws.

    Mitch_weaver

  • Allstate warranty reportedly routes through SquareTrade and can provide fix or refund tied to the eBay account.

    eduardmc

  • A warranty example reportedly resulted in repairs after hinges broke on a refurbished Sony headphone.

    boogak

  • The listing context reportedly mismatches storage capacity by showing 512GB in the title while the item is 256GB.

    EdwardStig

  • Refurbished devices reportedly may no longer be water resistant.

    SiavashS

  • Allstate warranty reportedly has higher denial rates during the first 30 days.

    Buckeyefan 1

  • The seller reportedly shifted sales to an eBay live event, which can require waiting instead of immediate purchase.

bought something from Amazon with 3 years warranty , stop working in 7 months claim warranty says need to be 1 year to claim, the fact is not all sellers offer 1 year warranty so you're stuck , warranties in USA is a joke just like insurance and lot of other jokes

Used them twice for headphones (in-ear and over-the-ear sonys). Both had issues charging. Both were unrepairable and they cut me a check for full cost. Their website kind of sucks, and you have to submit same information multiple times. Overall the claim process is slightly annoying but not a hassle. I make it a point to look for eBay refurbished sign when shopping used electronics.

Dang, I just bought a Samsung S23 Ultra 512GB from the same seller a week ago for $379.46.
If you've already got the S23 Ultra in your pocket, relax — you made a damn good choice. Unless you're obsessed with long-range zoom shots or chasing the absolute bleeding-edge specs, you're not missing anything life-changing by skipping the S24 Ultra. The S23 Ultra is still a powerhouse and will stay that way for a couple more years without breaking a sweat.
If you were buying brand-new today, sure — the S24 Ultra would be the smarter long-term pick. But that doesn't change the fact that you already own one of the best phones on the market. You're not behind, you're not stuck, and you definitely don't need to upgrade just because Samsung slapped a new number on the box.
Bottom line: your S23 Ultra is still a beast. Enjoy it, and only think about upgrading later if a crazy trade-in deal falls in your lap.

That's good to know. Thank you

I really like the S23 ultra I'm just amazed how the S24 ultra and now even the S25 ultra has come down in price. Thank you for your reassurance.

On a side note: I've noticed how advanced the Chinese counterparts have come along. Was admiring the Xiaomi 17 Pro MAX. I should be ready for another phone in a few years maybe these phones will support US cell tower bands better then.

I picked up one of these (actually the open box version) and the camera on these phones is unbelievably bad. I have to send my Pixel 10 Pro XL back for a warranty claim due to the GPS failing, but I took some side-by-side photos comparing the camera performance between the two, and it's nothing short of shocking. The Samsung is fine in bright light settings, but any sort of dim or less than perfect lighting and the pictures become garbage. It's not a flagship camera on these phones. Search for the reviews (not paid professional reviews, but regular users on forums etc.) and you'll see that this is actually a very common belief amongst owners

Pixel is worse in bad and night conditions. Over sharpens everything. Heavily software processing images. Portrait blurred images are worst. I returned pixel 10 and got samsung.

This seller has now moved all these sales to some sort of Ebay live event. I went online wanting to buy one and the only option is to wait for their live event. Reached out to their customer service even!
