I think I threw away the 2.4ghz adapter for one controller I bought for ten bucks by accident... Apparently Bluetooth connectivity doesn't really work on PC, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I've had no success and the Internet seems to corroborate that

Yup. I hate these controllers for that reason alone. Don't know why they need to make 100 different models with 100 different ways to connect.
The more expensive model can connect to PC through bluetooth BUT, it's recognized as a switch PRO Controller. If you don't have steam on your machine, this controller still wont work.
The 2.4ghz dongle works fine, bluetooth version has to jump through hoops.
