I'd guess they're pretty much the same. They're just different sizes. The snare on this kit is the PDX-8 which is 10". The 17 uses a PDX-12 which is 12". The toms on the 17 are PDX-8's. The toms on this kit are PDX-6's which are 8".

I can assure you, they're not. Even though they are shown in the picture, even the mid to high-end kits don't include the hi-hat stand, kick pedals or drum throne. My guess is, they're thinking you already have that hardware and/or they want to sell you new hardware.These are a good for starting out:https://www.sweetwater.com/store/...le-chainOr if you're super serious about getting into drums or don't want to upgrade shortly after, shop around for some used Pearl Eliminators or Tama Iron Kings. You can find some killer deals if you look at the right time; perhaps, someone realizing drumming is not for them and unloading their gear super cheap, just to get rid of it. 😉
