for three minutes to be safe, similar to ground beef. This process is common for pre-cut steaks at stores like Costco, and their labels indicate when meat is blade tenderized.
I think the only exception I've seen so far is the filet mignon.

Online says Raleys is $27.99 for Prime Ribeye - IF your store has that grade, AND it's bone in, not boneless:

It depends on how big of a pack you get at Costco for how much of a discount it works out to be, but assuming that you get a $250 pack (I think the smallest size) with the discount it works out to about $14/lb - HALF Raley's Prime bone-in price.

Price was $19.99/lb, before the discount.
It was $19.99/lb at ours before discount. The discount on a $300 pack brought it down to $15/lb. If you can find a pack around $250 (or ask the meat department if they have any), it becomes $14/lb. You basically want to get the smallest packs they have to maximize the discount.
Costco Prime beef has worked out pretty well for us in the marbling department in the past. It's the Select grades where you have to watch out, IMO (I don't think they carry Choice). This deal is for the Prime beef.
All other packages were around $400 dollars!!! Total waste

You'll likely have less of that the longer you're deal hunting. Besides, in this case, it's literally their job. The guys in our Costco meat dept are only happy to help. If it's the difference between $14/lb and $15/lb, I'm definitely asking - that's a difference of almost $20/pack.
18lbs is $360. With the discount that comes to $15.82/lb, not $17/lb, not even $16/lb.
You'd have to buy ~$400 to get the price to $16.25/lb.
You'd have to buy $500 to get the price to $17/lb. Buying two $250 packs instead of one $500 pack will literally save you another $3/lb.
The DEAL is for packs between $250 and $350. Pretty clear in the OP. If the packs are bigger than that at your Costco and the meat department says they don't have any smaller packs in back, then walk away.
"Yes — a whole ribeye primal (a full "export rib," typically 6–7 bones if bone-in, or a boneless ribeye roll) can absolutely be cut into prime rib roasts. Prime rib is simply the standing rib roast version of the same muscle group."
But I would double check with the costco meat dept when you're there. Trust but verify with ChatGPT.
