this is not a generic visa/mastercard rebate.
It's more of a rhetorical question, but when is the last time you heard of a modern car dying or seeing irreparable damage because of oil choice?
I still send every 3rd or 4th change to Blackstone Labs and never had a single thing meaningfully out of spec in almost 30 years across 5-6 cars.

It's more of a rhetorical question, but when is the last time you heard of a modern car dying or seeing irreparable damage because of oil choice?
I still send every 3rd or 4th change to Blackstone Labs and never had a single thing meaningfully out of spec in almost 30 years across 5-6 cars.
Toyota recommends 5W30 for the same engine sold outside the US. Engineers are controlled by bean counters who demand maximum fuel mileage to avoid the US Corporate Average Fuel Economy tax.
Fuel pump, a core component of fuel injected engine rarely fails. Those in 1985 Celica and 1986 626 are still delivering +75 psi fuel after 40 years of service. Honda and Toyota are replacing over a million modern fuel pumps dating back to 2017! Today's cars cost more, but are designed to fail early to generate more revenue.
Pros seeks out used cars without turbo, direct injection, electric water pump, electric steering, etc... These items will fail prematurely, and then it's time to buy another car.

lots of battery cells put 1/2 quort in each, you should be fine
1. They could deny the rebate as it was clearanced.
2. Rebate is not cash back but Advanced Auto parts gift card. I have rarely shopped there due to inflated prices.
3. I am stocked up currently and Costco frequently has this on sale for $15 for 5 qts or even better.

So either it's a huge conspiracy of them trying to destroy their own engines or obviously your overly generic car "advice" doesn't apply
