"If you own the Red Dead Redemption PlayStation 4 disc version, you can get the PS5 upgrade for free starting December 2, 2025, but you need a PS5 console with a disc drive to do so. The disc version upgrade works by using your PS4 game disc in the PS5 console, which allows you to access the digital PS5 version at no extra cost. You will still need to have the PS4 disc inserted to play the upgraded PS5 version. This upgrade supports enhanced performance and graphics features on the PS5.
In summary:
