Thanks! Asking my employer to buy these for our departments editors

This is my goto external drive!

The only issue I have is it's so small I lose it. I added an airtag to mine to help find it.

I was able to get a 4Tb version in January for $199. I'll keep dreaming about seeing that price anytime soon.

FYI that macs (and any computer without usb3.2 gen 2x2 or usb4) will not be able to enjoy speeds in excess of 10gbps (around 1000 megabytes/second realistically). You should only get this if you have those ports. Otherwise there are cheaper versions of this ssd

Is an "X9 @ $110" or an "X10 @ $136" worth it? I don't need the pro speeds. Just looking for a reliable SSD drive to store some memorable photos and videos, that wouldn't crap out in the near future.

If you want speeds faster than 1000 megabytes per second you will need a thunderbolt based SSD for a Mac

These Crucial SSD's are good. I have an X9 and few earlier X's, been reliable and fast enough. I don't know, I look for deals where it's $100 for 2TBs. There's a couple out there.

M4 Mac Mini rear ports are USB4 and should be able to take advantage of the full speed of this drive correct?
