Amazon has Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy The Definitive Edition (Nintendo Switch) on sale for $19.99. Shipping is free with Prime or on $35+ orders.

Thanks to community member Shad0WeN for posting this deal.

Includes:
  • Grand Theft Auto III: It all starts in Liberty City. With the revolutionary freedom to go anywhere and jack anyone, Grand Theft Auto III puts the center of the criminal underworld at your fingertips, if you have enough guts to take it.
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City: Welcome to the 1980s. From the decade of big hair and pastel suits comes the story of one man's rise to the top of the criminal pile. Grand Theft Auto returns with Tommy Vercetti's tale of betrayal and revenge in a neon-soaked tropical town full of excess and brimming with possibilities.
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas: Five years ago, Carl 'CJ' Johnson escaped the haze of Los Santos, San Andreas...a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs, and corruption. Now, it's the early 90s. CJ's got to go home - his mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart, and his childhood friends are all heading towards disaster. On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of cops frame him for homicide, forcing CJ on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets in the next iteration of the series that changed everything.

This game still runs at 30 FPS on the Switch 2; it's not worth it, IMO, unless you're getting it for pure nostalgic reasons.

The games were originally 30 fps. The only way to get a higher fps is on a PC with mods. Even then, 58 is about as high as you can get.

Side note: reviews on Amazon say that the full set of games are not on the cart and require download. Huge turn off if you're into physical media.

Still a good price tho

Serious question: did any of these games ever run faster than 30fps? Ive never played these and was thinking about picking this up. Do they run well on switch 1?

in for 2, only 2 games are on cart, 1 is digital code
I don't believe the last part is accurate as it looks to be a download tied to the cart and not a digital code

You buy this game on switch because you want to play it in portable mode or because a switch is your preferred/only console. You don't buy this on Switch thinking you are getting the best experience. That is true of most of cross-platforms game on Switch.

Still, $20 is the cheapest I have seen it. Even the digital copies only go on sale for $23.99 historically(for all platforms).

I cannot believe that they are still trying to rip revenue out of this thing. Is that why gta6 keep getting delayed?

Is there a profanity filter option on these games? No longer a teen, so no longer impresses.

and a "Switch 2 optimized" version of this collection will be $30 full price, again. I don't think they are going to sell you an upgrade pack even, just pay up lol
