Does this extend like a selfie stick? Like the model 6?
They did this really stupid thing where they omitted that feature to likely push you into buying the much more expensive 7p.
There's just no logistical reason for not including that feature other than to coax consumers into a more expensive product, and crippling an otherwise useful osmo 7.
I got this one during Prime Days and was so frustrated to learn that it didn't have that simple feature like every model before it had.

We had to toss our selfie stick while entering Disney as we were informed they aren't allowed at the park.
So sounds like places like Disneyland never allow previous version of DJI Osmo Mobile Gimbal that has selfie stick feature before.
And wonder if bring this to Disneyland, have to show them this one don't have selfie stick feature in order to allow to bring it in..... Or they just don't allow any Gimbal Stabilizer in general(?)
The gimbal features of stabilizing work without the app, but the advertised face-tracking does not work without the app.
The app is no longer available in the Google Play store for android (it was removed) so you have to get it directly from DJI. Make what you will of that info.

I would be surprised that they will care about the particular specs of this device. It will likely be a all or nothing policy.

According to these posts, you can bring in a gimbal or a hand-held video stabilizer as long as it doesn't have an extension feature:
Wow…so it looks like we inadvertently discovered why they may have omitted that feature in this iteration of the product!
This is the DJI Osmo Mobile: Disneyland edition! haha
With more research, seems like tourist places including some museums, music venues, festivals, etc don't allow selfie stick nor extension pole but allow gimbal of certain size.
Pretty much tourist hot spot, likely ban selfie stick/extension rod for safety reason. If you plan to use gimbal during travel and likely go to tourist places, may want to get one that don't have selfie stick feature or do some research first and make sure all the places you plan to go allow selfie stick (which more and more crowded tourist place seems to disallow it).

But do allow this one which has no such feature?
