Grabbed it. I saw a recent ETA Prime video on this, using two low end gpus with this software to improve high end game performance. Super interesting.

This is vital if you have a handheld like the Legion Go or Asus Ally

I bought this when it wasn't on sale. It's worth it if you have 2 gpus like I do.

Was reading the reviews and someone mentioned it works great on his Steam Deck. If so, I would imagine it will also work great on the future Steam Machine.

What type of 2nd CPU do you need? Intel igpu or a 5090?

Really not sure about that I looked into this alot because I have a super weak pc and wanted to play steam vr games. Since vr is rendered in a different way my understanding was it wouldn't work. Do you know otherwise would be great if it did. Thanks!

VR has its own way of improving smoothness called async reprojection that is lower latency than any of the nonvr framegen methods. The closest equivalent is nvidias announced but unreleased to my knowledge Reflex 2. Lossless would not help your vr experience.

Sorry if I got your hopes up. I got the names of Steam's new systems mixed up. I meant it would help the Steam Machine not the Steam Frame. Lossless scaling won't help VR at all.

Note for anyone not sure if they would need this or not. It is absolutely not just for older hardware or lower end setups that need tweaking.

My primary usage for this is when a game update or gpu driver breaks a AAA game which happens a fair amount on Unreal Engine (the most commonly used game engine) especially amongst graphics intensive titles. Usually within a day there's been a forum post of settings to use on this that make the games completely playable again whereas fixes from the developers often take several days or sometimes weeks while they figure out what went wrong.

I think you mean GPU and you don't need a second one. If you have a second dedicated GPU you can offload the scaling onto that while your main GPU actually does the rendering. But again, you don't need 2 Graphics cards. This program just supports it if you have 2, it still works great with only one GPU.

The plugin for Decky loader requires you to purchase this.
