New customers can get 4 iPhones or Samsungs for $100 / month including service. This deal is best for existing customers who just want to upgrade with their grandfathered plans. If you know your plan's SOC, you can check if your SOC qualifies on this master list [sprintswac.tk]. Don't ask if your plan qualifies, each plan has tens or hundreds of SOCs and not all SOCs work, even for the same plan. Either check the master list or try doing a test upgrade yourself on t-mobile.com.

If you don't have a trade-in, Samsung S10's can be purchased for $100ish and that nets you $800 promotional value. Stack through T-mobile SIS Costco for additional $35 DCC waiver, $100 Costco GC for upgrading (maybe more or less currently), and 90 days no restocking fee returns.

T-mobile does not publish the end dates of their promotions. No one knows when it will be over, so if you are purchasing a trade-in, make sure you can return it.

Same promotion at costco with 1) $35 activation fee waived; and 2) $100 Costco cash card for upgrade (potentially increase to $150 or $200 during black friday).

Yes i talked to another costco rep and he placed order again but my EIP doesnt say anything about promotion and it says full amount $1199.99 so going to check with t mobile again. But this time i did get email for buds 2a free.
Costco rep told that offer will be applied but if it doenst Will return the phone back to costco
Your EIP won't have any promotions on it. The exact method you get notified of the RDC varies from account to account it seems. Sometimes, your upgraded line will get a text or email message stating you are registered for XYZ promotion. Sometimes the promotion will show up in the promotions screen on your account. Other times, you will only see it once you completed trade-in.

I saw the issues going on and confirmed I don't see anything about promos in my receipts so I called and spent an hour getting things sorted.
Basically Costco reps all lied about having the promo, and the real T-Mobile rep said the same thing about needing to return and pay a restock fee followed by order through the T-Life app. I mentioned that the phone and buds were already opened and I ordered through the phone, so she took my case higher up and was eventually able to override the system and get me the trade-in promo and free buds promo. Thankful I'm done in theory, but gotta watch for the next few billing statements.

I am getting my buds for free for sure as there is no EIP or charge that was done. Seperate order placed for buds by costco rep so now just trying to convince t mobile rep to apply the promo on my account. I will not open anything until its sorted our

Anyone able to get this same deal from Costco with $100 shop card
How long was the process calling Costco? No chance they will mess up the plan right? I got one of those older plans. Always afraid they will mess up and change my plan. Thanks

Anytime a human is involved, there is a possibility that your plan will get changed. This is true for everything in life. To prevent that, just be explicit in your conversation: no changes to current plan, upgrading phone on line only, etc. After your order, double check your account that the order is correct and your plan was unaffected. If it was changed and you caught it quickly, T Force can revert the plan change and maybe keep your existing order.

If you can't handle the possibility of a plan change, you can upgrade the phones yourself online. Same deal. You forgo the Costco benefits, but you can review every detail of the upgrade process.

Anyone have tips on the cheapest phone I can get (and where) that would qualify for the $800 tier? My family has been with T-Mobile for years. Unfortunately we all have Pixel 6a's, which only get $400.

S10, S10e, S20, S20 FE, S21, and S21 FE can be bought for 100ish from eBay or Swappa. T-mobile does not care about carrier lock status, just phone condition and not stolen.

so far, across four orders, they've never discussed altering my plan whenever it qualifies for a promotion

Heads up. Last time T-Mobile did a generous promo like this for grandfathered customers, they subsequently jacked up monthly fees for cellular service on many grandfathered plans a couple of months later. Very shady company, locking in unsuspecting customers for two years, then imposing higher fees.

They have even reneged and clawed back several add-ons and benefits, most notably the price lock guarantee, on several grandfathered plans as well. They are now a typical predatory company more concerned with their shareholders than their customers and employees.

I'm not downvoting the deal. I'm just pointing out that you will be at the mercy of T-Mobile for 2 years, unless you cough up the cash to buy your way out if things get FUBAR or find a deal with a competitor that covers you financially if you bail.

They also hired a new top dog recently, so this adds even more uncertainty as to the fate of their customers and employees.

I had a similar experience. Everything looked normal - buds cost $6 shipped but free otherwise and there was tax on the Pixel before $800 promotion. But the receipt only showed a small one-time trade-in value. I called and the Tmobile rep clarified that the promotion is online or retail but they made a note to apply the full promotion since retail is allowable through Costco. The rep who did the sale may not have applied the promo correctly. This is my first time doing a Costco trade-in and my past Tmobile online tradeins all showed the full promotion value.

Does this mean this is one of those trade phone in any condition promos?

edit: trade in has to be "in good condition" so don't think so
Do we have a "good condition" definition?

Just has to power ON?

Android (including pixels) can be temporarily unlocked by T-mobile for 1 month (up to 5 times a year). The app to check lock status / request unlock is installed on the phone, except Pixel have to download it from the play store.iPhone's cannot be temporarily unlocked.
I bought 10 fold with swap of 8 pro ( which actually has better camera than 10fold) and 800 discount . But T- mobile refused to unlock till 40 days and full payment. My main use is for overseas physical SIM card . Returned back . Now Google one sent me a 10% coupon . With $300 additional discount, and $380 trade in and no activation fees and 3% cash back to get unlocked phone appears a better deal . Still waiting if the discount drops further this week
