No, it wasn't. If it were, then please provide the links to those deals, as it would be more helpful than commenting on assumptions.
The ones you're referring/recalling are the Intel Core Ultra 258V and 255H, and the Ryzen 9 (non-HX) with 24GB RAM, models.

Matches what Microcenter had it for last year. They've stopped selling it for a while now. Display was nice but the chassis was a bit flimsier than I would have preferred.

It depends, 1200p OLED on a 14" is perfect for the majority of people. 1600p or above on a 14" is overkill for most. People have reported the screen or text being grainy, but I am not sure it was these VivoBooks or the ZenBook 14s.

While this is not a 5" display, I agree that for +$1000 laptop 60hz is weak. Maybe battery saving focus? High refresh, more battery use? How is this GPU on this? I don't think it's gaming focused, maybe thsts why low hz rate?

60hz and watching youtube videos gonna lag for action scenes. Or any video for that matter, does not need to be from youtube. And since it's a 14" screen, you're gonna notice it a lot more than on a 6.7" phone.

If it's 60fps shouldn't it match the content? I don't think there is whole lot of 120 or 144fps YouTube videos. Am I thinking of something else? You are referring to the frame skip feel right like each frame stays in screen linger so you get a stutter look on movement like CRT?
