This offer can be combined with their referral program: use a code when creating your account and get $10 in Tello Dollars right away. The referring account gets the reward after three months. Since the promotional pricing is good for three months, you could use your Tello Dollars for the 4th month. We have had a positive experience with Tello and especially like the ability to roll minutes/data (which doesn't apply to the plan in this deal, but might apply if you downgrade later).

I ended up leaving Mint Mobile for Tello back in the summer. Seamless experience and preferred the flexibility compared to Mint's pay upfront system. I personally had no network issues and when comparing both SIMs I had comparable speeds, signal, and call quality.
I had 3 family members do the same about 2 weeks ago and everyone is all good! Feel free to ask me any questions if you think of anything 😊

Left att to mint, mint to Tello, Tello back to att, all in less than a month. Calls were getting dropped, incoming calls going straight to voicemail, and was not receiving rcs messages on Tello. So experiences may vary..

It rides on the T-mobile network, if your speaking in terms of carrier/network. IMO it really shines if you just need a line and aren't a heavy user that actually needs unlimited everything. Far too many people overpay this way and too few of providers offer/allow dialing in to your actual specific monthly needs. Works really well for Seniors who basically just need an emergency line.

If you order a physical SIM, you have 30 days to activate. The last time we ordered an eSIM, it started the month right away even though it had not been installed. We complained to customer service because we had intended to wait about 20 days, and they extended the expiration date of the first month. But if you want to delay activation, I would order a physical SIM, then you can always convert to convert to eSIM later if that's what you prefer. The website says this offer expires Dec. 2, but in my experience, Tello frequently extends the promotions.

And Tello is different than most carriers. When you activate they give you a temporary number. You can wait as long as you want to port in your real number, but the service month starts upon activation.

Tello's network went downhill from past couple of years. Moved to US mobile after being a long term Tello customer
