Retevis RT85 Handheld Ham Radio for $26 after 10% off is much better. Radio is 5 watts and can be unlocked to broadcast on any frequency in the 2 meter bands.

Any link? Does staff happen to have a SD-only discount code by any chance?

Heads up -- Retivis supports USB A-to-C charging....not the more common USB C-to-C charging that literally everything else uses today.

I'm sure there's some glorified technical reason why USB standards are designed that way or that this is by design or whatever. It doesn't change the fact that I need to carry yet another cable to charge these. For all intensive porpoises, it might as well be a propriety standard since literally everything else is USB-C in the year of our gourd, 2015.

Oh, wait. It's actually 2025? Ten years later? What gives Retivis???!?

I've run into this with other generic chinese branded electronics on amazon before like headlamps and heated socks, if you don't use the specific charging cable provided it won't work.

I can't stand listening to him, he sounds like Kermit. And he has no vocal inflection control -- his pitch increases the longer he talks, like he's trying to squeeze as much air out as he can muster.

As a fan of Project Farm, I hadn't thought of it that way, but I can see how it might not appeal to some people

He's got over 3 million subs, so I don't think he'll miss you.

I can't imagine dismissing great efforts just because this guy has a higher pitched voice than you like. Moronic really.

From Amazon Q & A:
"Yes, the Retevis RT85 Handheld Ham Radio requires an Amateur Radio License (Ham Radio License) to operate legally in the United States."
Don't wanna be that guy but
