Electric blankets are the same cost, more comfortable, and have a setting below 140°F

Answering your question, sure why not.

it keeps the bottom of the plate/bowl warm
so in a way yes, once youre ready to eat, just stir the food a bit.. in my exp, it's useless during colder seasons

I have a different version of these. Mine has been great for taking a pot off the stove, letting it sit on my granite for a moment and then goes right onto mine. I preheat my serving bowls on the mat so they get warm to start and then put the hot food in. The whole bowls are warm/hot to touch after dinner is done. These are great for fajitas and taco nights, and Asian food nights with a stifry and rice combo. Everything that needs to be warm, stays warm. Especially queso. I really like the one I have.

Is it safe to use on Quartz? Quartz stone is not heat resistant.

Sounds like you answered your own question, but really doubt it gets that hot

Blue seems to be missing, so I assume it's dead.
