As far as customer service; I had an issue with Amazon's delivery where the unit had some external damage, was delivered upside down and missing minor parts such as the governor spring on the choke. Amazon gave a partial refund / credit for the exterior damage.
Amazon did offer to return/replace but since it was cosmetic for the most part, I figured take the credit and get the replacement parts through Duromax if not just local hardware. I called DuroMax and they said that the specific parts (at the time) weren't something they individually sold. They did ask for photos of the damage and to confirm the parts I needed and they said they would send a replacement unit that would still have the warranty on it. Because of the damage to the old unit; they said they would take off the warranty on that unit but I could do as I please if to repair or dispose of. Ended up giving my father the new one and I fixed the damaged one that I am still using.
I only recently purchased (and yet to use) an inverter generator for my more sensitive electronics, but keeping this as a backup.
