Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I was trying and couldn't find the pay later button during checkout on the samsung s25 ultra deal. If pay in 4 works for the 20%, op it would help if you add that in your original post for people like me looking for the correct info and confirmation.

FYI this verbiage implies $1250 max PER transaction.
Let's just all agree that verbiage is american literacy at its low point and we see what happens later

Tried making a purchase for $1,218 and did Pay in 4. Got denied. Tried it again and got denied. Saying the amount I'm requesting is too high. The fine print says up to $1,250. Makes zero sense. Anyone else?
Go into the Paypal app and it will tell you how much you have available for Pay in 4. The amount you have varies per person.

I think this paragraph is what will get us

"During the Special Offer Period, Eligible Participants will earn Points equivalent to 20% cash back on one or more Eligible Purchases up to $1,250 spent."

lol, the days of those types of deals are long gone
no it isn't, how would you know? keep calling and we'll be sure not to see this deal again next time; too confusing for everyone. or, they'll just make it super simple so everybody can understand, one transaction, one time only, on Saturday, $20....call it a day.

who cares what the language says, the programming is working flawlessly.

it's only when someone tries to cross reference what they are actually seeing with this own eyes with what's on paper and they *interject* their own biases we begin to have problem.

pending points that won't ever finalize
finalized points that will get clawed back

and all the other speculation of pay4 disappearing and credit card types and merchants opting out and Aliexpress cash advances and pay off early penalties and frozen credit and denials and pay daily/weekly/monthly and gift cards fraud and 20% vs 5% and adding and removing paypal and number of open plans.....

and other types of nonsense that don't matter.

let it go. a bazillion pages of nothing rather than the immense deals we are getting

It doesn't show anything for me. I just made an account yesterday, but I have my card entered. Not sure why it didn't approve.

Yes you got it
And the payments can be charged to a credit card, not your bank account?

Edit: answered my own question by reading more posts.

Likely due to it being a brand new account.

Thanks. So its very clear we have to unfreeze first, make the purchase and maybe a few days lates freeze it back.
I did try it, and Pay in 4 worked without me having to unfreeze my Equifax or any other credit bureau.

so bestbuy screwed my payin4. i did not purchase right away after I was approved, and the option disappeared. paypal did show the temp charge. hope it comes back. i called paypal to remove the temp charge which was the second transaction, but still does not show me the payin4 option for other merchants. does anyone have any info that it might come back maybe tomorrow?
