Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Do you think the first order will go through? Placing a second order now? What if the first one go through later since it is still pending in the PayPal but no order confirmation from Staples. Not sure what to do now?
Probably not, I'm checking on Paypal now and I don't see two transactions... pending charge is still on my card but if it posts, Paypal can deal with it.

Pending points are showing up on my PayPal account... good sign! But I don't follow the math. 26,6xx points on a $1,330 purchase seems like it is a flat 20% on my entire purchase and not the first $1,250 plus 5% on the balance after.

Can someone please confirm if this deal is working if I purchased xbox gift card from target or best buy?
I bought home depot gc ($1000) from target and points (20,000) are showing as pending so it should work for any gc (including xbox)

the fact that they're not even capping individual transactions at $1250 is the best indication that they will be going back and adjusting points... meaning all these "pending points" are meaningless.

Wanted to add another data point:
- Purchased ~$1K worth of furniture in one Pay in 4 transaction, pending points.
- Purchased ~$300 in another Pay in 4 transaction, pending points.
- Purchased ~$1K office chair in third Pay in 4 transaction, pending points.
- Tried 4th transaction worth $150, Pay in 4 no longer shows, only Pay Monthly.

For the first 3 transactions, I instantly got the 20% pending points exceeding ~$2.3K total worth of purchases.

This does not work for me. Paypal keep rejecting my credit card. I tired my debit card, but my bank immediately reject paypal.

It's concerning that the points are still pending nearly a week later.
I wouldn't be. PayPal themselves specifically state in the terms of this offer that points take up to 90 days to clear. And they probably don't even begin to process them until after the final payment at week 6.

so how does this work? I want to buy a $2000 TV at Best Buy. so I purchase it, and I get 20% cash back off of 1250? or it won't even process because its over 1250? Also I've been reading it gives you PayPal points, not actual cash back.. I'm so confused
Not sure why the downvote
It limits the amount of points that can be accrued in a single transaction. Purchasing that TV at $2000 means 25000 in points, purchasing a TV at $1250 25000 and just for dumb example $1100, 22000

That is correct, its cash back in points hence it does have limited use outside of paypal services but I imagine EBay is viable if nothing else. Not sure if they do straight conversion from points to dollars and then just transferring that to your debit card. Keep in mind it will have expiration date as well.
The real argument that everyone is doubtful and debating on is whether its cumulative. Meaning you can keep getting 25000 with every about $1250 purchase on another order. Personally think its limited, an account is set to only acquire at most 25000. Even talking to paypal representative they tried really hard not to give me a solid answer and just referred to me their fine print which is confusing as heck english.

But if you cancel the order the points should be reversed. Not sure why it would be an issue.
yes, that's why there is AI which should be able to determine your intentions. who cares about whether the points are reversed or not, PayPal is flagging suspicious accounts.

Someone showed me a screenshot of his list of transactions that showed 20% reward points of more than 25,000, and some others have said they were showing the points in excess of 25,000 as well. I'm highly doubtful PayPal would claw those back and wouldn't have limited them to begin with if it was indeed a participant limit. Plus, as per the other reference I provided supports that it's per transaction.

I was unable to do it myself because Walmart canceled my transactions and ended up getting declined for more Pay in 4 purchase from PayPal as a result.
Would you mind sharing those screen shots if you still have them?

They have to factor in the holiday return period, which is usually until 1/31/26. You're likely not getting points before then.

Dozens as have posted here.
Last night, I went through the process of using the pay monthly for that LG TV purchase I referenced earlier. After completing everything, on the LG website, it said there was an error. However, PayPal shows that they made a payment to LG but I have 0 points posted, so I'm not sure what is going on. I'm guessing the transaction didn't go through and that the PayPal money is not actually sent.

So the other day I purchased like 2 times for pay later (pay in 4) first order around 220 and second 58ish and i got declined on my third order for placing orders too fast, i waited more than 48 hours before placing my next order and now pay in 4 isn't even showing up for me anymore only pay monthly... so i went pay monthly and will pay the balance in full lmao. Still kinda sucks that im losing 2% back for not being able to use my Wells Fargo credit card to pay.
