Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Has anyone else experienced this? I saw a PayPal pre-approved Buy Now, Pay Later offer for $1,100 in the app, but when I tried to use it on Samsung, the offer disappeared. Now, when I check the PayPal app, it says they can't offer me Buy Now, Pay Later.

Data point for others. I first tried using Pay in 4 which gave me an error when attempting to Link a card while checking out.
Went through the cart again and checked out this time using Pay Monthly with 6 payment option to complete the transaction and now see 26,128 Pending points in app. Confirmed via loan terms there's no prepayment penalty.

hey there.. those were the good ole days. But it was that $99 HP touchpad that got me started on flipping stuff. So I can't get too upset about gaming the system, still stickin' it to the man. Peace and Love!Cool
I recognize you as well from many many threads including Ringplus, probably T-Mobile/Sprint deals . Though those were great deals at the time I think I was burned because they eventually leaked my SS#. I did have a different username several years ago though.
I dont event know what to get with this Paypal deal. I wanted to get the Oura ring and then with a $60 credit and the $200 Amex credit it would be free but putting it through paypal , I dont think the transaction to hit the Amex will mention Oura. Though people with normal Paypal purchases for Oura on Amex have gottent the credit, some had to involve manual customer service.

Interesting, the deal is specifically for Pay in 4, will be curious if your points go through

This isn't 2005. The customer service reps we talk to don't pass what we say forward. I'd be surprised if they log it. And they definitely have no bearing on what happens in this deal.

We're calling for clarity on an established deal. Stop parroting phrases from 20 years ago.
lmao, keep coping

Anyone know for sure the limitations of this? Can you do multiple $1250 purchases and accrue multiple 25K in points for each of them?

Or are you limited to just 1 time $1250 then any dollar past that rewards the regular 5% cash back which also has limitation of up to $5000?

Please and thank you
There's probably 50 posts in this thread about it.

See: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=180459742&postcount=2009

And then come to your own conclusions.

The terms specifically say Pay in 4 OR Pay monthly.

"Eligible Purchase(s)": Eligible Purchases are purchases made using either Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly that are completed during the Offer Period by an Eligible Participant who has saved the Offer. Eligible Purchases do not include: (1) purchases that are marked as "pending" as of the end of the Offer Period, (2) purchases with Pay in 4 where the first payment has not been successfully processed, (3) any purchase or portion of a purchase that involves a payment method other than Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly; (4) purchases made at a merchant who enrolled in Pay Later within 30 days prior to the start of the promotion; and (5) any purchase involving non-profit organizations, gambling, security brokers/dealers, foreign currency/money orders, and stored value cards. Satisfaction of Eligible Purchase criteria will be determined solely by PayPal.

Just did a massive purchase on eBay via Pay in 4... $1,331... first time going through, I submitted the payment from Paypal but then ebay would not load. Waited 5 minutes and nothing even though my card showed the first charge for the Pay in 4. Ebay showed no payment/no emails from PayPal or eBay on the payment going through. So I closed the window and re-did it, and it worked...

Fingers crossed this worked and I get the 20%, bc if not, FML.

I did one purchase yesterday. I tired to buy a GC from target. Now it seems Pay in 4 is disabled for me on all websites? Anyone had this happen?

I have been reading the posts here, and it seems Walmart is cancelling a lot. Not sure why they are like that. I regard Walmart as the worse store there is, a freaking dump hence I never shop there. Here comes PP idiocy. Why would they care if the thing is cancelled? Just dumb. I have two transactions that went thru. One 3 days ago, and then they killed my payin4 due to some bestbuy shenanigans (did not check out the moment I added to cart and the payin4 disappeared). I left it alone, and the payin4 came back yesterday, so I got my second transaction in. Points posted for both. Now, I read about the available balance, and checked the app to show $800 available. I needed 300 more, so I went ahead and just paid one of the payin4 transaction (second one which I am going to keep. the first one I am going to return (already refused the shipment and is going back)). I am checking the app, and the available balance is nowhere to be found which I think it might be due to paying the payin4 early. The dumb part is why PP system thinks this matters. They do not get anything from payin4 other than merchant fees. They get no interest, and it does not matter whether the 0% loan they gave us gets paid the next day or in the next month. You cannot get out of payin4 as the payments will be made every week out of the card or bank account. Like you cannot skip and have them charge interest. So, it makes no sense. Whoever programmed this thing is utterly stupid. Just give us the promised cashback whether up to $250 or multiple until the earmarked money is spent. I am so tiered of dealing with PP.
Staples has also been a big offender when it comes to canceling orders. Additionally, people are getting screwed because they moved in and out of the payment window or, what I suspect got me hit with the sus activity issue, switching credit cards while in the pay window. It's just too unforgiving and finicky.

Just one more data point here - I was over $250 points cashback from my last purchase. I made another purchase and it now shows full points pending despite being over the disputed max. Obviously they are just pending so we will see.
